MaSHoe:
Anybody watching this year's E3?

What are your thoughts so far on the Konami, Microsoft, EA, & Ubisoft conferences?

Predictions or thoughts on Sony and Nintendo conferences? (Sony has gone just yet)

Has anything caught your eye yet? Anything you are looking forward to being covered?

So far, I have only watched the Xbox and Ubisoft conference in full. I have seen part of EA's conference, but am not interested in too many of their games.

Xbox didn't excite me too much, I was happy to see gameplay for Dead Rising 3 but ultimately dissapointed in the fact that it is exclusive to the Xbone. Nice to see Killer Instinct being brought back, but haven't seen enough of it though yet to get too excited. Crimson Dragon, spiritual successor to Panzer Dragoon series, is going to be a Kinect game, yay  :-[. Ryse looks pretty and has a cool setting but has too many QTEs. Project Spark looked very interesting.

Ubisoft as well didn't excite me. Everything was pretty much just trailers. Aisha Tyler is boring for these conferences, that #girlwood bullshit is so forced, I want Mr. Caffeine back lol. The Division looks interesting but the MMO aspect is something I don't like. The Crew looks just like a NFS game. More Just Dance for the casuals.

I'm fairly Eh about this new generation. I would be more hyped if all this "NO USED GAMES, STORING SHIT ON THE CLOUD, KENECT, TV, SOCIAL NETWORK INTEGRATION" and whatever. Just give me good games that i actually own and want, then I'm good.

I only so far watched ReviewTechUSA's rundown of Microsoft, The games so far are just meh in my book, getting board of sequels and shooters. Don't care much for KI, never played any of the games, not a big fan of Fighters.

I'm probably going to build up my current gen collection before getting any new systems, my Xbox 360 library is tiny, and I do not have a PS3, The only one I have any interest in is the 3DS so far. I want a Wii U, but there are little to no games I want for it, and the ones I want, I do not want that bad. Call me when Mario Universe comes out. I realty want some new Nintendo IPs though, Mario and Zelda is fun and all, but getting real tired of "HEY REMEMBER LTTP? HERE IT IS AGAIN!" "HEY REMEMBER MARIO 3? HERE IT IS AGAIN" especially sense I do not remember Mario 3 and LTTP from my childhood, I was not born yet. I like them, but lets see something new.

The whole new generation seems like "Oh, What crap are they going to shove down my face this time?"

It seems that as more time goes on with the game industry, the less differentiation between the consoles (MS & Sony). Even their next-gen console designs are similar (angular, matte/gloss, minimal). Nintendo rehashes their 30 year old IP.

MS gives a non-answer to the used games question. Let's face it, MS is just giving a politically-correct version of the following: "No, you can't just buy used games without us making money off of it."

Not optimistic about Ouya.

Getting tired of the droves of FPS shoved in my face.

I really miss the 16-Bit days when video games were "just a thing that nerds do". Now it's become mainstream, filled with garbled noise such as cross-promotions, me-too's and oversaturated hyper-experiences. No, I don't need to tweet how many of teh n00bz I tea bagged while I watch TV in the bottom right corner.

The big-companies (Sony, MS) don't excite me anymore. A big thanks to smaller companies like WaterMelon to keep me believing in a purist's video game experience.

Well, everyone in my household decided they wanted to watch different things on netflix so my E3 stream just died during the Sony press conference.  :-\

From what I was able to watch from the conference, I am excited for Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts 3, & Infamous: Second Son. The Order looks interesting as well, but all we saw was a trailer so far.

I have read now that the PS4 will not impose any used game restrictions or always online DRM. I was planning to get a PS4 regardless as it is the system where Japanese developers release most of their games on, but this is great news.

Now I just can't wait to see the Nintendo Direct tomorrow and maybe some coverage on some games like Dark Souls 2 and Drakengard 3 and some word on what is up with Sega and the Spectrum.

well, I believe Sony just won the console wars for this generation
