Thought this was cool enough to give it its own topic. I'm looking forward to gaming with one of these.

Yeah hopefully the would make consiole adapters, as I just can't see myself turning PC gamer. ;D

Ofcourse the movement could be achieved with Eyetoy/PS3/Kinect camera only too, as in walking on place with camera registering the movement...

I don't know, walking in place wouldn't quite be the same. Maybe someone could make a poor man's version of the Omni with the Nintendo Powerpad :D

As excited as I am about the new technology, I think I'd wait until it's been out for awhile to let them work the bugs out before plunking down $400+. Plus, I don't have a gaming PC, though after the XboxOne unveil I'm tempted to go that route.

Eh, kinda cool novelty, could be fun to use every one and a while, but I can't see this being much of a replacement for a controller.

Also, in games that require a lot of fast moving, I can see someone tripping and falling and utterly destroying their unit.
Also actual gestures are not as fast as mouse moves or button presses.
