Well did you? Personally, I got a bunch of gift cards from all over and The Orange Box. I was really looking forward to playing OB, (more specifically Portal) but my PC hates me. Hopefully Steam support can help out, otherwise the main reason I asked for The Orange Box is gone. :(

And now my thinly veiled attempt for advice:
I have enough gift cards to buy a DS Lite. My DS Phat crapped out back in June. Do I buy a DSL or a bunch of cheap Wii games?

I got an Xbox 360 finally. I also got Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata with it. I just need tio make an Xbox Live account on it, and I'm set. Now, to answer your questions. IMO, I think you should get the DS Lite. It looks cooler, plus, it comes in different colors, and the selection of DS games is sure to please any gamer.

Well, I don't celebrate Christmas... But I'd say go with the DSL. Then you can expand your library more, and play the games you have now that you can't play.

  • ...and that's the bottom line
Depends on what games on Wii you already have and what you would plan to buy, IMO there's not too many must haves for Wii right now so I guess you pretty much own them already. I can recommend Super Mario Galaxy. It really is as great as all the reviews say. I played it for 7 hours straight today and I didn't even realize it was that long, felt like 2 maybe 3 hours max.
But again, the choice really depends on what Wii games you own/want and what DS games you have and would like to play but can't due to a broken DS.

I didn't do too bad game wise,

A Game Cube with Spiderman the movie game
Guitar Hero 3 (360)
Red Star, Headhunter (PS2)
Mr Driller, Jet Set Radio (DC)

Plus my daughter got Mario Kart for her DS and a bizarre GBA Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi game.

Thanks for input guys. I haven't gotten a gift on the scale of a gaming system since Game Boy Color in... 1999? And even that didn't cost much more than $100. You're lucky twilightwolf77.

I played Ace Attourney 3 on a DS emulator. :-[ I could do that for AA 4, but I'm not that inclined. Wii wise, I have Sports and Play, plus WarioWare, Metroid and Galaxy. I was thinking of getting Zelda Crossbow Training and Mercury Meltdown Revolution. Since that wouldn't break the bank, I may just do both.

Well, I figured since mostly everyone out there has one already, I figured, "Why not get one for myself?" I played Eternal Sonata on it for the first time, and it looks really great. Oh, and to anyone out there who owns an Xbox 360, is it worth it to get an Xbox Live Account?

I can't play online with mine (I have satellite), but I keep my account just for downloads. It's free so long as you don't play games on it anyway, so you might as well!
