My expensive pick for this month... I was not looking for the whole set up but i think the price was right i was originally looking for just the turbografx 16 since i previously had bought one and it was junk.

I got this set up for $199 minus the games and controller I already had those..

I don't have turbografx cd game yet to test the cd rom but i play a music cd and it work fine,... :D

I almost did this exact same setup but after I would have spent $200 on a TG16 w/ CD (I already had a TG16 too) along with the system cards you need to be able to play all the CD games it made more sense to me to just spend the money on a PC Engine Duo R.  It cost me almost the same amount of money (I think around $215 shipped from Japan) and I can now play US AND Japanese CD and Card games with no system cards or anything.

Awesome Extron Wig, those things are built to work forever.

That's what I hear. Gonna cost me a fortune in RCA and S-vid adapters though :/

These are a few games I've gotten the past two weeks. I got the Sega Genesis CD combo for only $30 on craigslist. The PS2 games were all $2 at Hastings.

I might do that myself flip the cd attachment get my money back, keep the turbografx 16 and buy a pc engine duo r or...... Wait to see if wiggy can do the region mod and get a jp system card 3.0 $25 and go that route, the price was good i could not say no , i can easily break apart the package and sell everything individually and make my money back... I got to wait and decide... :)

These also showed up yesterday.  Got my new guy testing them all out.  So far they all seem to be 100% salvageable :D

*squint* Is that... A Gameboy pocket with the original brick Gameboy pre-"Play it Loud" color scheme? I've never seen such a thing! :o

After doing a slight bit of research, I think it's a Japanese release.

Where can I get a Duo for that price? I had the set-up above around 1993, but I had to return it because the CD-Rom wasn't reading....and I never got another one, since it was used and affordable, and new ones were rare and too expensive for a college kid.

'Tis indeed!  I had no idea they existed either until I got this lot. It's the only one that's gonna stay in the wiggy collection ;)

Yup yup!  And considering I buy all these from Japan...

Picked up a copy of Batman Returns and Batman Return of the Joker, both in box for $10 and $20.

Didn't have Batman Returns yet so that one's a keeper and I pretty much bought Return of the Joker for the box since I already have a cart and manual. Cant seem to figure out what Return of the Joker averages for now. There's like 2 up for auction but that's about it aside from PAL copies. My guess is it has something to do with the fact that people have figured out that it works as a suitable donor for the famous Mr. Gimmick (which I'm sure some people wouldn't hesitate to use for such a great game). With that being said, if anyone is still missing this in their collection, picking it up sooner than later may be wise before more of them slowly turn into Mr. Gimmick carts...

I saw Persona 2 and decided I was getting it - it was in pristine condition, booklet, bonus disc and everything. The guy wanted 80$ for it, but offered it for 50 if only I'd buy a few movies. 10$ in movies later, and Persona 2 was mine for a reasonable price! Since the movies are game-related, I figured they counted as pickups :P

Got Virtual Boy Wario Land from the same guy for 5$

Almost picked up Phantasmagoria at my local goodwill for 4 bucks for the pc.  But kinda put it back and decided not to...it was complete with all the discs, manual and original "case".  Don't know if I should go back or not to pick up.

But a few days ago I picked up The Last of Us survival edition.  I think I got 2 codes for the sights and sounds pack (one from gamestop and one inside the case) and the art book I think was very well made.

I got mine from Hit-Japan.

They used to have a online store but I think they just do eBay now.  Keep an eye on their store, they put up loose ones for around $200... at least they did around a year ago.  Both me and a friend have both a Duo R from them with no issues.

Traded the dupe Bubble Bobble, dupe Wind Waker's Player's Guide, and dupe Mach Rider (which I didn't realize I had until I went to put the new one on the shelf) and got...

Gauntlet Legends and Super Ninja Boy

Edit: Super Ninja Boy ended up not booting.

Swapped it out for Wario Land 3.
