Just read through Zero Wing's manual. It's actually in decent English. Here's the story bit:

Space Piracy
The year is 2101 A.D. The Milky Way Federation, the galaxy's governing body, has made public its plans to construct strategic defense bases in eight different locations. The purpose of the bases is protection against intergalactic crime. The Federation's prime concern is a band of space pirates led by Cats, the flamboyant cosmic freebooter who is secretly plotting his biggest performance.

Two years later, the bases were completed and operational. Despite the new defense network, tragedy struck. Ten Strike Force attack craft docked aboard the Federation 1011 Star Cruiser were destroyed by a bomb that had been planted aboard the mother ship!

Shortly after the explosion, the ship's operator received an odd signal. The Captain ordered the viewer turned on, and who should appear but Cats himself! "Nice to see you all. I've taken control of each and every one of your bases. Today will go down in history as the day the Milky Way Federation was destroyed by one man--me! Ha ha ha ha..."

One attack craft remained undamaged. The Captain, without hesitation, ordered the ZIG-01 "Zero Wing" into battle. You must fly the attack ship to each friendly base and drive Cats' forces out. The fate of an entire galaxy rests on your shoulders!

So I decided to get up and stop and a few yard sales today. Only found stuff at one but was pleasantly surprised at what I found. First, the boring stuff. Found a TI-83 Plus Graphing Calculator. People only wanted a $1 and they flip so easy, so that's always and easy purchase for me.

The big find however was this.

I have never seen one in the wild and it unfortunately was the console only. I paid $5 for it and it does turn on however it does seem to have some cd-rom issues. First, it had 2 cds jammed in it and now it doesn't seem to spin the discs so I am probably gonna have to tear it apart. Nevertheless I have never seen one in the wild so it was a nice find whether or not I get it working.

If you can't get the drive working,  but the unit works ok, you could always try and get hold of one of these:

If you ever get it working, I actually found 2 3DO controllers not too long ago. An original 3DO controller, and a MadCats 6-Pad. I don't have a 3DO but I've never come across anything for one before so I figured I should grab them. Id be up for trading them or something if you need em.

Father in-law brought home a box with random toys and lego mixed in. Below the torn Dunin Donuts bag full of said toys was:
a PSOne
A PS1 with rca jacks
3 controllers
2 mem cards
Tomb Raider 2
Tomb Raider III (Ex BBV Rental with BBV Sharpied on it, missing maual)
Res Evil Survivor(cracked :()
Frogger
Frogger 2
Small Soldiers
Crash Bandicoot
a bowling game
Tomb Raider Underworld

Not sure what he paid for it yet as he is not home at the moment. No RPGs...so nothing there for myself. He'll have me check everything out and then sell them.

Final price he said it came to was $13 for the lego and game stuff.

I got some nice pickups recently...including a wife! Just got married recently!  ;D

I've been getting really lucky lately, am not looking forward to the drought that I'm long due for when my luck runs out...
Kirby's Adventure
Super Mario Bros. 3
Wario Land 3
Kirby's Dreamland 2
Super Mario Land 2
Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland
Castlevania Aria of Sorrow

I've also been on a Playstation kick (scroll to second image for the reason)
Parasite Eve
Tomb Raider

My favorite pickup is this (mainly because it's a testament to how cool my wife is)...Mutha Effin PSone with LCD Screen!

On our honeymoon, my wife was awesome enough to let us go thrift/resale store shopping in Virginia Beach, and I found the PSOne with the LCD screen, one controller, Sony A/C Adapter, and the CAR PLUG! Also bought an extra PSOne controller in the same store, Cool Stuff, a resale shop in Virginia Beach. Got the PSOne System Lot and Castlevania AoS for a steal. Also picked up a PS1 Memory Card off eBay, as I couldn't find a matching light gray colored card locally. If you're ever in Virginia Beach, check these guys out, they won't bargain, but they have pretty doggone fair prices.

If I get her going I may take you up on that.

On that note I did take a trip to the Flea Market and some other stores today. Left with these as I was on a bit of an RPG kick today and had a bit of extra cash from my recent yard sale.
