I was really high on this thing when they said my 84k gamerscore would carry over...and that high really crashed when all the reports came out about not allowing used games.  Or allowing them, but charging a hefty fee to play them.
I have been 360 all the way this gen, but if PS4 allows used games with no bullshit (as they have hinted at, but may change), then I am headed back to Sony.

Personally, the 2 machines are going to be so on par with each other, the used game thing will make or break for me.  I don't give two shits about any other features besides games.  TV?  No thanks.  Blu ray?  Got one.  Porn aps?  You know they'll be there.

If the PS4 allows used games with little to no restrictions, it will win.

I also remember when Game Consoles played games. My PS3 is a great media center, and it plays some great games as well. Games first, media second.

I mean sure it's cool that all these features are crammed into a pretty sweet looking machine, but the cons are bad enough that this system is going to be a pile of shit and I really hope that they have many problems and lack of sales.
I don't care if there is a "good" game coming out for this system, It does not justify buying the system if there is no resale market.
I will NOT buy this and support them UNTIL they decide to step back to the way it should be.

So... no backwards compatibility, my digital xboxlivearcade content will NOT carry over (I've spent a few hundred on this shit; I feel like such a sucker now), no used games, and always online. It makes sense now seeing how EA is all buddy buddy with MS and passing the microphone to one another at the presentation. Fuckers.

Remember when Sony hinted that they would be doing this on the PS3, and everyone threw a fit?  Was Microsoft paying attention?  Did they not get the memo?

I for one will be saving my money.  I may or may not get a PS4, but I definitely won't get a One.

I honestly was sitting here scratching my head trying to figure out who at Microsoft thought the whole online requirement and used game fee/tying games to one account thing was a good idea and something gamers should be excited about...  Did no one in the various meetings that were held to design this thing not see how that could seriously alienated a HUGE portion of their target audience?  It's kinda of baffling really.

I'm gonna try not to judge too swiftly.  At least not until we have all the facts about the XBoxOne (and PlayStation 4, for that matter).  However, one thing I can say for certain is that at this point, I'm finding it hard to get real excited for either of the next generation systems.  Time shall tell...
