Unless I'm mistaken they're not. I got the latest GameInformer and Sony's rep said that used games will be the same as always, no fees.

Sony has hinted that THEY will not charge a fee, but will allow publishers to do so. So basically it sounds like it's going to be very similar. Companies that want to push their PS4 versions may avoid this, but companies like EA, Capcom, 2K will probably test the waters.

Ea will quickly go out of business if they do this. The biggest cash cow for them is the sports titles, and people who trade in and buy the latest version. If people can't trade in the previous season game I doubt they will be so keen to get the newest one unless its significantly better (which it rarely is). They even got rid of the online pass now, so I doubt it would make much sense for them to go down this route.

I hadn't heard that. But Microsoft does have a ton more money to throw at marketing then Sony does. You're going to see XBOne everywhere you look. They are going to have constant commercials, NFL athletes will be raving about how much they love it on Twitter, and Ellen DeGeneres will be doing Kinect dances on her show.

They do?! Microsoft and Sony are both giants. They can both throw a LOT of money into marketing, and both have and will continue to, I'm sure.
That said, I severely doubt that either is trying to pay off developers. That's like mob mentality right there, not to mention how much potential that has to hurt the developers and publishers in the long run. Sounds like schoolyard rumor to me.

This is coming from Michael Pachter, an industry analyst. Think about it, Sony has struggled as a company this last decade, where as Microsoft could dump billions and not even blink.
