Yup. I know Sony's been in litigation regarding the sale of PSN accounts and games purchased via the PSN for a while now in the UK, since they've basically been told that users MUST be able to sell their digital-only games on their own and without interference from Sony.
We have laws that cover that, but Sony and the gang have craftily sidestepped them or simply haven't been called out by a large enough authority (yet). I foresee some new DMCA stuff going into effect at some point soon...

I doubt it. Court verdicts and Congress have been leaning heavily in favor of manufacturers over consumers these last couple of years. Companies like Microsoft have enough money to toss at lawyers and lobbyist to gain the favor they want. Only in America can you buy something, own it, and still not have the right to do what you want with it.
