Hello guys I'm rich , I am from the uk and have just joined the forum.
I have a few questions i need answering so I will fire away!

1: what cases do you use for dreamcast games

2: what cases do you use for n64 games

And finally ....

3: what gsm photo paper would you recommend for printing the inserts ?

I will appreciate any helpful answers I am given as I am almost ready to print a whole bunch of gba covers for some ds cases I purchased.
I could also do with some assistance of certain pal versions of gba covers as some of the titles are different over here like crash fusion in the uk is called something like crash ripto's rampage on your soul.
Thanks

Dreamcast Games, some people use DVD cases, others use 8 Disc Poly Cases which are shorter.

Since you are from Europe, it will be hard for you to get UGCs at a decent price, Our European friends use Double Wide DVD cases
My LPs Channel. Currently playing Legend of Zelda: Windwaker HD, Metal Gear Solid 2, and Resident Evil 2.

1: DVD cases mainly.

2: Universal Game Cases, but as yer a Brit I 'd suggest Double Wide DVD cases which for us Europeans are way easier to get, and can fit SNES/N64 manuals.

3: I use HP Semi-gloss everyday photo paper.

Thank you guys for the answers, I will look into the double DVD cases as I have tried to find what you call UCG's but found nothing.
Arseen would you do me a favour and link me to where I can buy this product so I am familiar with the image of the packaging or for a good price, thanks again

;)

Or did yu meant the paper?
The packaging changes quite often, but it's called HP Semi-gloss everyday photo paper and is sold in packs of 100.
And I quess that any A4 sized semi-gloss paper works fine.

Ok,also these DVD cases that are used for n64 games, is it as simple as just taking the extra disc slots out or do you add foam with a cutout .
Itriedto find a guide on here but could not see one

Yep, but I don't bother with the foam, but it's not bad idea and some do use it.

Also the cases are 5mm taller than UGCs, so you have 3 options:
1: Use the UGC covers as is (might look bit wierd but not too bad).
2: leave 5 mm white strip to the bottom when you cut (I do this).
3: Stretch the image by 5mm heightwise (I should have done this ;D)

I'm using Blu Ray cases for Dreamcast, I'm working on a template to keep the art from being distorted.

To tell the truth, I don't like the sideways artwork. Can you do it in a fashion where the artwork is properly oriented?

The reason the artwork is sideways is so I can keep it retail. I would go with Poly Cases, but Blu Ray cases look better next to DVD cases because they are taller. If it was the other direction, I would have to add big borders.

Ha, I thought you meant rich like you were wealthy and thought that was a little obnoxious, but you mean your name is Rich

Anyways, like other mention before, you can use DVD cases, ds cases, and unviersal game cases, but I might suggest looking at the Artist Corner section, and the Guides forum for more information on how to use programs like GIMP, Photoshop, and information about  Paper, Printers, and other alternatives to casing games. Also many artists have a link to their covers in their signature since many of their covers are not approved by the mods of this site, but that doesn't mean they are not good quality, many are better in fact.

You can also look at other people's collections in the show and tell forum and you can actually get ideas from there.

Welcome to the Site.

for dc games, whats wrong with the original cases?

most games in case should be available for dirt cheap.
japanese games just used normal cd cases, which can be had for cheap nowadays

Hey Rich! I'm Drav! (Sean really).

1, DVD (regular or half size) or 8 disc poly cases.

2, UGC (universal game cases), to buy in England, your best bet is either ebay or Gameseek. Gameseek's shipping is expensive. (At least ordering from Ireland)

EDIT, here's a link to gameseek and their deals on UGC:  http://www.gameseek.co.uk/pd/toysujsee2z0p85/#.UZYEvaKsiSo

3, I think most people use a matte 120gsm paper. Keep in mind you can print on A4, just set all margins to 3 and set the cover to the center of the page.
