Im in the process of doing a clean, and I came across about 15 broken UGC.

What do you guys do with broken ones? do you just chuck them or is there something they are good for?

Depending on were the damage is, you might be able to use them to make double-deep cases.

Its mostly cracks right down the spine, so I don't think I would be able to. But thanks for the suggestion.

What Setmor said.

I make doubles/triples or chuck em if I can't. I used to save them, but then I just ended up with a big fat stack of what amounted to garbage :-\

  • Coffee... What would I do without you?
Would a soldering iron not be a solution? Sure the case would be brittle, even if worked, but not worth a try? I usually bin them if they arrive broken in anyway shape or form, and get a replacement from my supplier for free + a free compensation case. That's why I love my supplier!... Makes me sound like a junky! :-[

<.< ... >.> ... o.o *shady eyes*... That would be telling!

LOL, Just a seller on eBay I developed a good buyer/seller relationship. Best prices I've found in Europe so far, without paying an arm and leg for shipping.

I hope that they are made from recycleable material, because I've had a few broken UGC's too and I just toss them into the plastics bin.

They're polypropylene, which isn't typically something that is accepted at curbside recycling. I'd check with your city hall about it.
