Just got home. Had to go out to the palm springs area, hit a thrift store and a small swap meet. Got all this for $5
Crowning jewel is Breath Of Fire IV  (disk only) For a buck  They actually had probably 50 atari games, but I know next to nothing about atari

Breath Of Fire IV (PS1)
NeoGeo Battle Coliseum (PS2)
Crystal Castles (Atari)
E.T. The Extra Terrestrial (Atari)
Diablo II (PC)
Return To Castle Wolfenstein (PC)
Mortyr (PC)
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 (xbox)
Yu-Gi-Oh The Movie
Pokemon: Mewtwo Returns

Edit: was hoping I could find a full manual scan for BoF IV. If anyone knows of one please point me to it.

Kind of a slow month for me, been mostly selling my duplicates than buying new ones. But here's a few:

12 € for both, I think that the SCN version of Guardian Legend is worth at least twice that alone so I got a good deal.

Incidentally, these two games have few of the best soundtracks on the NES. I remember playing Shadowgate as a wee mite and the haunting music scared the crap out of me. Guardian Legend on the other hand is kind of a hidden gem here in Europe, I never see people place it on their top lists but it's IMO one of the best for the NES. Was it ever successful in the US? (love the cover art btw.)

It's kind of a hidden gem here in the states as well. And our art for it falls plainly in the WTF category:

That EU art is sweet.  Never seen it before.  I LOVE that game!  One of my top 20 NES favs without a doubt :)

Here's how it looks in a box. It's not the best pic but the scanner (AkumuHau) did a great job.

I don't know if these qualify as pickups, but ... my dad called me and said he'd found some of the old games that we had already thought lost forever. My mom had some old PS games stored up and my dad had some, and now the other half has been found. My mom and my sister are currently blaming each other on who has lost the other game stash (which includes according to my memory Crash Bandicoot 2, Spyro 1&2, Final Fantasy VII and VIII and Croc). But here are at least some discoveries. FF9 game discs are the cool variety which features japanese artwork of the characters too.

Was at my local thrift shop today.  Found some goodies on my lunch break.
Found Donkey Konga for $3.90 - didn't come with controller, but had 2 memory cards
Found a DS case for Contact, but inside was Mario & Luigi Partners in Time.  Since it had the wrong game, they only charged me $1.90

I went back after work and saw a N64 game upside down behind the counter.  I almost passed because experience told me it would be a sports game.  But I hunted an employee down and asked to see it anyway.  You can imagine my surprise when I found this.....

Paper Mario for $1.90.  I grabbed it.  Went to the register and immediately checked out before someone could raise the price...not that they would, but I was paranoid at this point.  lol  A good day overall.

Got some fun stuff in today.

Sleeping Dogs and Dark Souls are from a trade with a CAG on here. Blazing Lazers is fresh from ebay and I picked up Final Fantasy III at the local game store. Traded in all my loose Saturn games and picked this up in return. If I get back into the Saturn I decided I'm going Japanese and importing the good games. Not enough good cheap American releases that interest me.

Also got this stuff in the other day.

Fantasy Zone was from ebay for about $12 and the two SNES games were from a lowball auction on Cheap Ass Gamer.

Okay, this is my first post ever and it'll be a nice pickup I got today from someone on Kijiji.
Here it is in it's magnificent glory :

The box is a little beat up, but it's not in bad condition. I'll eventually post a full SNES collection post. I just need to finish printing up the covers for my games :)

My pickups aren't as nice as a CIB SNES game, but I did snag about eight more games this month. None of them retro yet, gonna grab a fat PS2 and then focus on the older stuff.

Xbox- Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
Xbox 360- Dark Souls, Dragon Age: Origins, Gears of War 3, Star Trek, Tomb Raider
PC- Star Trek: D-A-C (found it for like three bucks so if it turns out to suck then big whoop)

edit: for those who are curious, every one of those is CIB except for Chaos Theory which is missing the manual.

Picked this up in an eBay lot. Total came to about $3 a game.  Every game was functional but this one especially needed some work.  I already cleaned up the cart a bit but then I noticed it needed a lot more.  Should I post more pics here or elsewhere for some expert advice?
