Finally done the expensive set of Taito games that were released towards the end of the NES life.

You lucky SOB. I envy you, sir. I love me some Taito. I have to say, unlike Capcom and Konami,  I had no idea who they were back in the NES's and Super NES's heyday. Wish I had, as I would have bought a lot more of their games. I blame the internet not being widely available until the mid to late 90s.

Not so much luck as just saved up and bought on Nintendoage.

I gave up on trying to find these games in the wild, especially being in Canada, where even less copies would be available.  Once the values of these started skyrocketing I figured I'd get them now before they go even higher and then if I ever do find one in the wild I can trade or sell it.

Out of the set that I'm referring to I'd say Little Samson is probably the best game by far.

Flintstones II is not that great .... the first one is better IMO

 Panic Restaurant is OK

Bubble Bobble 2 is terrible / not as good as the first game

I still have to try Power Blade 2 but I've heard the first one is better

Solid pickups Wiggs.

Is Ogre Battle 64 considered to be a good game?  I have the PS1 port of the SNES version.  Is the N64 one it's own game or is it also a port of the SNES version?

Thanks!  No super deals, but I don't think I did too badly.

Mario Party 1, 2, 3, and Yoshi DS for $60 on Craigslist
The SNES games were $20 from a local shop.
The rest are trade from Nacho3 :D

I don't really know, but it's on the top of my N64 to-play list :)

Thats actually a pretty good deal. Id gladly pay $20 a pop for Mario Party 1, 2 and 3 if they ever turn up around here.

Not exactly a pick-up but something Im super excited for. Just pre-ordered Dark Souls II which will hopefully be out by the end of the year! Ive never played a game that made me so furious, but wanted to just keep playing at the same time. I damn near smashed one of my 360 controllers in a fit of rage (which is something I havent done since I was a kid getting really pissed off at DKC2 for SNES lol) but still just wanted to keep pushing forward!

The game is such an emotional roller coaster from beeing seriously intimidated and nervous by your surroundings, furious fits of rage from devastating losses, and overwhelming feelings of triumph and releif when you finally get yourself past those tough spots. I never felt so proud to complete a game like I did after finishing Dark Souls. And since then most of the emotional ups and downs have deminished when playing through a second time so Im really looking forward to getting that feeling back with Dark Souls II.

Ill be scooping up Collectors Editions of the game and guide and whatever els I can get my hands on so Ill definetly be flaunting it in the future! ;)

Oh! For an actual pick-up. Picked up a copy of Rhythm Heaven for DS new today for $5. Such a fun game!

No kidding!

All three on eBay will cost you over $100 normally. That's not bad at all, plus he got a DS game with them.

I'd actually been scoping ebay for a month or so when I found the listing.   He had a listing that simply said he had lots of NES/SNES/N64/etc for sale and to email for a list.  Normally I won't bite for that sort of thing, but it was late at night and I was bored.  He sent the list, and I asked about a price on those 4 games.  He said that he's just taking offers right now.  Again, this is something that would usually kill my interest instantly.   But, I replied with an offer of 70 bucks and he said ok.

Come time to meet he realized that I had a bit of a drive to make to get them (like 30 mins, which didn't matter to me since I had business on that side of town anyway), so he said 60 would be OK since he couldn't meet halfway.   They're pretty cherry too.  Labels are nice and clean, and the guts look damned near new on 2 and 3.  He was a nice guy too.

These are my April and May pick ups combined. Not shown in the picture is the original xbox console I picked up. I also got some of the supplies I'll need to sodder new save batteries in my games and a bit tool to open up NES and SNES cartridges. The power tool in the center of the couch is used to modify UGCs for NES. It's much quicker than using end nippers.

Todays yard sale pickups. Spent less than $20 total. I found that GBA case full of games and grabbed it, turns out to be neo geo pocket games and I know nothing about that console, lol.

Neo geo games are: Samurai showdown 2, Sonic Pocket Adventure, King of fighters R2, Neo Turf Masters, & pac man.

The thing with the LCD i some sort of remote control. From what I saw on my phone maybe a universal remote, saw ebay listings for them at $100+  I'll do more research later. It was a buck and looks cools. xD

Yesterdays pawn shop pick up. $25 total. $10 of that was the street fighter box set. Mario 2 & 3 are in amazing shape.

Edit: Also meant to throw my last 99gamers pick up on here. Don't have a pic handy but I got a almost perfect condition Super Mario RPG cart

Good haul!

I would be more excited over the River City Ransom instead of the SM2 & 3 though. (It's one of my favorite games!)
What are you looking at? You think baby's don't like video games? THEN YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BABIES!!

Oh I love that game, its just in really rough shape and I could trade the SMB games for a decent amount on 99gamers =P
I may end up getting a new cart shell for river city + repro label

I also used to play that one hack of it. think it was called pussy city pimps? It was good for a few laughs. It would be interesting to get a repro cart of that xD

Edit: also that LCD remote looks awsome. And i saw an auction where one went for $80 an poor condition. 0_o Best $1 purchase in a while
