And finally picked this up near mint for a decent price on ebay. My Metroid collection is finally complete!

Sadly I don't believe the game companies care much for the collectors. Unless they release a "Collectors Edition" that is.

Also, as a pick-up, a friend of mine got me a copy of Zelda TP for the GC for $2 from a thrift store....complete with manual, case and art.  ;D

I mean, it bums me out that manuals are no longer part of my new game buying experience, but I can't tell you the last time I actually opened and got any use out of one :-\

I dunno. Just seems like more effort than it's worth.

Hmm... I always look at my games manuals. I like to read the back story, the character information, and the credits (I like to check out some of the composers). Now days its happening less and less, due to developers not designing a manual for their games, preferring a single page for the games controls (lame), but I do genuinely do read the my games manuals from time to time, for the above mentioned.

Congrats on that Metroid Pickup, that's my favorite game in my Wii Collection. It's a must have since you can't find Metroid Prime 1 & 2 in HD and with better controls. I am almost done with my Metroid collection as well. I just need the handheld games , but they are rather pricy going for $15+ each, well the GBA ones.

I got Mario Party 7 for $5 from GameStop via mail. Of course it has a dirty case, no cover art, no manual, and the disc is scratched, has resurfacing gunk on it, and a piece of tape on it (wtf) and it doesn't work, hopefully I get a refund.

I was able to get Ninja Gaiden 3 Collector's Edition for $20 from GameStop as well. This CE has an actual soundtrack disc instead of a digital code and the figure is pretty badass with the two guys stabbing each other. Heard the game is crap but $20 for a CE you can't beat that.

most likely not very often, ...  but its better than looking at those empty clips begging for a manual.

however as far as effort goes it didnt take much.   Inside the case it tales you were to get a PDF of the manual.

Ive been meaning to do that with my Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon. Only 360 game I have without a manual. I can see why people say this is pointless, but Id do it for the same reason as Rx. It just bugs the shit out of me to open up a game case and have absolutely nothing in the manual slot.

I like the weight a nice full manual adds to the case. It makes the game seem like more.

Aols, I loved reading them as a kid, my English Teacher says her young son loves to read them, and he picked up words like "Homing."
She said he brings them on car trips and was like "Look mommy what I can do in the game!"
