I don't think I'm doing this right?

What Wiggy said. A3 = 2 A4's. :)

Dravenae:

Hold on... Wait... If you have A3 surely its more cost effective to buy, lets say 100 sheets of A3 cut them in half, then have 200 sheets of A4 paper, rather than buying 100 sheets of legal sized paper? Less waste as well! :)

Correct me if I'm wrong.

EDIT: If 13x19 is correct, half or that is bigger than A4 still.

wiggy:

Yup, that's what I do and have preached it forever. Way cost effective, plus you get 3 DS covers from a sheet of A3. Extra bonus!

Spoonman:

Ok I have a related question here.  I've been using legal paper to make all my covers and everything is going great.  But I've hit a snag with just 2 covers and it seems to be with only these 2.  I'll try not to be confusing in my description here.

I print much more simply than most of you I think.  I just open up the covers in Preview, choose legal size paper, and print to 99% scale (newer UGCs, don't fit at 100%).

So that works fine for me, but with SMW 2 Yoshi's Island, when I go to print it in Preview, instead of scaling it to like 84% or whatever the others are on regular paper, it's like 21%.  So when I change it to 99%, it blows up the image so huge that it's just a small portion of the cover at a huge scale that prints on my legal sheet.

My guess is maybe this cover was made and saved at a much higher resolution or scale to begin with than the others?  So when I download it, the image is like 5x bigger than the other covers?  Anyone had this problem before?

Nacho3:

A few of the covers I have downloaded from the site are like that  Usually it's because the resolution is not set at 300 dpi and can be easily changed in Photoshop.
