I got one recently.  Actually it was an auction with DK64 and the expansion pak that I got for $25. So it was a great deal.  But my point is they are $25 now. But are considerably rarer than the jumper pak. And the one I got seems to work OK but the system takes a few tries to start up now (as opposed to when I had a fresh jumper in there). So, if more quality ones continue to not be produced, my fear is we may be looking at higher prices for these in the near future.

Well, sure. If supply drops but demand stays they same that's a given. However, I think we're seeing inflated prices right now. I expect them to come down in the future. That being said, $20-$25 isn't terrible. And I saw one going for $6. Try different sources and I'll bet you'll find an even better price.

By the way.  Did you have any luck with the N64?

I believe it you can make it better and cheaper then why not, I have not done so yet but doesn't stop me from doing so just takes time and research.

If there were any way you could make it better and for less, then I'd be all for it.

But that's just not gonna happen.
