Local "retro" arcades?

This past weekend I took a trip to a "semi" local arcade.  Now, usually arcades aren't all that exciting but this one was a bit special in the sense that it's main focus wasn't on new games.  It's main focus was on retro games/arcade machines.

In all honesty I wasn't expecting much going in there, but once I was there I was blown away.  They had so many arcade machines and a bunch of pinball machines to play that I could've spent the entire day there.  From older stuff like Tron/Pacman and Q bert to some "newer" stuff like Ultimate MK 3 there was always something to play.  And if that wasn't enough, they had 4 TV's set up with all kinds of consoles...Atari, NES, SNES, Genesis/Sega CD/32X, to Xbox 360/PS3/Wii U.  Although all of the systems were attached to HDTV's, the only one that wasn't was an Atari system that was connected to an old style tube tv.

Their game selection wasn't anything to shrug about either.  I glanced quickly at most games and they had pretty much most of the "typical" good games and a few crappy games.  In hindsight I should've taken pictures to show you guys but I was too busy playing haha.

All in all I had a blast with the GF and a day pass is only 25 for free play on all the machines/consoles or about 9 bucks an hr.

Oh, and before I forget..while in Red Bank I also had to make a quick stop at another location...



Lol, the location of AMC's Comic Book Men.  I just kinda wish I had gotten there earlier since they closed long before I got there

So, is there any other places similar to Yestercades in other areas?

No arcade of any sort.

Closest match is place with slot, poker and such machines.

In Rochester New York there is the Strong Museum of Play. It has a video game exhibit that has around 50-60 arcade games and 5 pinball.  Most of them are pre 1995.  They also have different systems and games on display.  They have a copy of stadium events and a world championship grey cart there.  It is very cool place for a gamer. The arcade game takes one token per play.  The tokens are 6 for a dollar.

There are no arcades anywhere near where I live in Connecticut.  As a regular Summer visitor to Seaside Heights, NJ, I've always enjoyed a nice retro arcade on the boardwalk there.  Unfortunately, it's located right near the roller coaster that ended up in the ocean in the famous Sandy pictures.  So, I don't know if it's there anymore.  I'm glad I went there last summer before the hurricane.

I live in Queens, NY and in Brooklyn they have a Brooklyn Barcade which is by far the coolest place I've ever been. They even have a Strider Arcade Cabinet! Here's the link if anyone wants to check it out:

zero arcades where I live in the New Orleans area.. there used to be a few smaller ones and even some in casinos but long since gone. best place is a few cabinets they have at cici's pizza lol

Not a traditional arcade, but there are old games.  Some VERY old.  One of the coolest places of all time IMO.
