If straight is really important, then I will.  But my scanner really sucks, as that the edge has a "dead zone'" of about 1cm.  So I have to position it further down to get the whole thing.  And when I place something on top of it, it usually turns it.

sounds a lot like my scanner, but it's much more than a centimeter around the dead zone on the edges, closer to 1 1/2 inches. Sides, top, bottom all have this issue.

Funny cause the document scanner in it is awesome.

I have a dead zone on my scanner as well.  I took a file folder which has a perfect 90 degree edge on the outside and cut out a perfect 90 degree corner on the inside (this needs to be precise and is difficult to do, but it only has to be done ONE TIME).  Therefore, I created new 90 degree edge guide which is large enough to get my documents outside of the dead zone.  Since it's a file folder, the other half is used to lay on top of the document being scanned to hold it down and create a uniform color behind the image.  This has made scanning much easier and I have not received any complaints about my scans being out of alignment.

If my description isn' helping, I will take pictures of everything later tonight.

With that said, it really brings my piss to a boil that I have to go through such BS to get my scans straight.  What is the purpose of the edge guide if you can't use it. >:(

If its 600dpi it won't make a noticeable difference (since it will be resized to 300dpi later).

There iss always lost in detail when turning.
On small screen it'as not noticeable, but on big screen and when printed it is.
Besides the simple knowledge that it could have been more detailed bugs me. 8)

Plus it can be pretty difficult scanning it perfectly straight

Oh believe me that I know as my old scanner auto-cropped 4mm from the edge so I could not use the edges to keep the stuff straight ;D

Some guy just spammed the Craiglist page last night with X360 "bundles"; every game costs $20 a piece, including a "Sports Trio" for $60! The hell does this guy think he's going to sell, especially being piecemeal like that? None of the games up are worth even $15, let alone $20.

One of the nearby pawn shops got some nice original Xbox games today. I'm considering making an offer for Fatal Frame 1&2.

This guy has posted and re-posted this for WEEKS.

http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/vgm/4551021576.html

I've spammed this guy from 8 or 9 different emails inquiring about it, then canceling the order saying it's a reproduction.  It isn't even a very convincing looking repro.
And a quick google search could tell anyone this game never had a SNES release (Super Fami only)

While I didn't make any offers on the Xbox games, I did go into the store and find a sealed/mint copy of Magna Carta for PS2. He first stated $60, but I got him down to $40 and to toss in some Game Boy games for free.

I see that he's taken a pick of the other PS2 gems that I passed on. I want all of them, but funds...

What's he charging for the Growlanser?  I have a guy near me with several unopened copies for sale (although he only keeps one out so you think he only has one left 8))

None of those were stickered, they're priced on the spot. But these guys are pretty competitive, taking a few dollars off eBay/Amazon prices. They're trying to always undercut another guy that used to work in their shop, but opened his own store across the street (and that guy always overcharges). If you want to inquire I can tell you where to find them on Facebook.

I wouldn't worry about it.  I'm not really looking for that game, but I might pick it up if I ever find a crazy good deal.

I'm trying to lay my hands on Xenosaga 3 for a good deal too, but nothing I'm going crazy for.  Just I have Xenogears, Xenosaga 1 and 2, and Xenoblade Chronicles so it hurts to miss that ONE game in the "series"
