I am tired of Craigslist. I don't even bother checking anymore.
But kudos to anyone who find a good deal. Peace.

I understand the hatred for Craigslist lately, but keep in mind that when you DO find something for a great price, it's awesome.  For me, the search is half the fun.  Last month I found a fat PS2 with video calbes, AC cable and one controller for $20.  It works perfectly.  I already had a PS2, but at that price, who cares?  If this Game Gear deal works out, I will be just as happy.

Good deals can be found, it just takes some work and patience.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

What's this all about?  Of all the Nintendo systems, I know the least about the N64.  Are these related to the N64 DD or are these some type of developer carts?

I don't know, but that guy is posting those the exact same ads all over CL. I've seen an identical listing here in Maine.

Really ???  That's interesting.

My ads are from the St. Louis area for those who don't already know.

speaking of repetitive ads all over Craigslist, has anyone heard of the dude that has 15 copies of bootleg earthbounds on eBay? Sounds pretty messed up cause if you look at the pictures they obviously look fake yet people actually bought them thinking they were real.

Here's a very nice Gameboy collection, but too rich for my wallet.

This is an interesting ad.  He is open about the Game Gear not working.  However, if it is unreparable, I still think the games, cases and A/C adapter alone are worth the $20.  I talked to him today and we are going to try and meet next week.  If I can get it working, I will be really happy.  I'm looking for a Game Gear that I can mod to get video out to a TV.

Success.  Just picked up the Game Gear today.  $20 for the Game Gear with original A/C adapter, and five games, all with their original cases.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Primal Rage
Crash Test Dummies
Chakan
Psychic World

I already knew that the system didn’t work correctly.  However, even if it is unrepairable, I still think I got my money’s worth for the games, cases and A/C adaptor.

The system turns on, I can hear sound, and I can actually play the games.  I just have a black screen.  I’m hoping it’s just the capacitors, but we will have to open it up and see.  Does anyone know if this is a common symptom of bad capacitors?

Which area are you from? I'm on the Illinois side of the river in Granite.
