"I will consider other offers but I will not respond to any low-ball offers, I will not piece out the collection or only sell the rare and desirable games, and I will not haggle."

Um...

I've got a few things listed and nearly every reply is the same. "What's the lowest you'll go on it?"  That's not how price negotiation works. I list at $X, you offer a specific amount, then we go from there.

Lol, I think we can blame that on Pawn Stars...He will always ask what the lowest is from the seller...then offer even less then that.  I guess people think that it's how it works in real life :/

Pawn Stars, great show. I guess I'm one of those people that works like that. Half my collection is from craigslist lowballing. Seriously, what's wrong with asking? If I post an item on craigslist I pretty much expect lowball offers.

I was thinking more like (40% off lowest offer said they would take), im going to have to pay to clean it up and frame it. And its going to take up space on the shelves.

The problem is that there was NO offer.

Oh, on the $1400 Super Nintendo lot? I won't even bother there. He only has a few games I'd hold onto and he wants far too much $

Ah, my bad.

Meant to quote what you said before that, "I will consider other offers but I will not respond to any low-ball offers, I will not piece out the collection or only sell the rare and desirable games, and I will not haggle."

That guy is just a dufus.  Why is he selling for over what they're worth and why is he exclaiming it in his description as if it's something that would help the sale?   Retro game sellers' ads sound more like they think they're doing potential buyers some huge favor by selling their games anymore, and somehow buying in large lots no longer saves you any money and sometimes even costs MORE.  The fuck?!

Guess I'm just getting old.

Welp! This screams legit!

I would still try to get it. Pickup only. Maybe it was a gift/prize, as then people tend to make very low prices....

It actually kinda does. I would pick that up for sure at that price. Maybe a seller that doesn't know what they have?

This doesn't top that certain other offer, but yikes!
http://stcloud.craigslist.org/vgm/4328188452.html

Also, someone's selling Conker's Bad Fur Day, with manual "both in great condition" for $75. No pictures, so I'm guessing it's the xbox version. It's pretty far away but just out of curiosity assuming it's the n64 version, how good/bad of a deal would that be?

"Install Flappy Bird - Will do in less then a minute"
Funny, one thing I was thought to do in a computer repair class, is take longer on simpler things so it seems like it is worth more money.

Hey Jeff, I wouldn't go for that deal. It probably goes for $75 on ebay and the manual isn't worth that much imo. My personal rule is that if I have to drive anywhere for a game(s) then it should cost significantly less than what I would pay online.

Conker for Xbox is called Conker Live and Reloaded so maybe it's N64 but neither version is worth that much (xbox version goes for $30 last time I checked). You could always shoot the guy an email to verify but I wouldn't bother if he's asking ebay price for a local sale (or in your case, not local, since you have to drive a ways).

When I want to know what something is worth I check 2 things: pricecharting.com and ebay.com "sold listings". What people are asking for an item is irrelevant. I always check the sold listings 1st. Hope that helps
