I have a few things on CL right now, and of course I get these two spam emails as soon as the listings went up.  The ol "I'll send you a certified check, then I will pick the item up later.  I will write the check for XXX over the amount, you just need to send back..." bullshit.

So, I figured I'd troll the shit out of this asshole.  So far I've given him 5 different addresses to send the check to because "I can't remember which one is the correct address", and have been offering other non-existent products to him for a "great price", and all sorts of other BS.  I'll see how long I can string him along.

Hope you are using some thow away email addy, as I can sense retaliation flood of e-mails... ;)

Unfortunately the listing uses my preferred personal address, but the spam filter is strong (sometimes too strong). Anyway, I think she caught on and moved on :P

If you plan on buying it I would open up those shells and make sure that the circuit board is an authentic Nintendo board. Looks like it may be a fake

What's up with the Super Nintendo controller in that pic? It's missing its middle; there's only one button where start and select should be.

About another ad..
I don't get the reasoning behind marking up the price of this lot 7.6% over its estimated value. He won't piece it out and you have to drive to him to get it. What is the incentive to pay more than the average going rate ???

Absolutely none. These idiots think that they can screw people who don't know any better and the sad part is sometimes people fall for these stupid outrageous ads. Although in this day and age it is really easy to look up how much games go for at the drop of a hat, so I can't imagine anyone with common sense buying those games at those prices
