It's a neat lot, but I don't really like "make an offer" deals, especially with people that claim to know what their stuff is worth (usually they look up on Amazon or ebay).

I never know how much to offer. Offer too much and I always wonder if I might have gotten a better deal. Offer too little and they get all huffy like I insulted their mom.

Awesome lot, but anyone who actually truly knows the value of that lot wouldn't sell it together. The crossover of people who still need a sega system and also  knuckles chaotix are fairly small. I'd shoot your lowest offer and expect to get shut down, If he really wanted to sell the deal, things would be listed seperately

Why do i not believe that "All proceeds go to charity for visually impaired infants" on this overpriced SNES lot. These people make me sick.
To many craigslist deals around here involve a sob story involving kids. The few I follow through with have guys ages 18-25 who couldnt have dressed more like fake (poser) street thugs if you paid them.

I pretty much always make a lowball offer at first. It gives me room to negotiate, but sometimes it's accepted right away too. If the seller gets all huffy puffy and starts quoting eBay BIN prices then I know it's somebody that I don't want to deal with anyways.

Not really Craigslist related but sort of on topic.

I went to the local value village and they had an original xbox - just the console - untested for $49.99.

Then on the wall of electronics they had a controller, the AV cables, and the AC adapter priced at $4.99, $4.99 and $2.99 respectively.

Kinda said that so called "Thrift" stores are trying to rip people off now.

Overpricing at thrift stores doesn't bug me as much as inconsistent pricing. I visit a few Goodwills on a pretty regular basis and one day they have a Gamecube (or Xbox, or whatever) for $4.99 then the next they have another for $39.99. They get all of this stuff for free so all systems should be set at one price. It's the same way with everything they get, it's so frustrating.

They do not know what is what at thrift stores. When I see a system, the chords are sometimes priced separately. I normally say they go with the system and they get tossed together for free. When I found a GB Player with no disc, there was a Gamecube else were with the disc in it, and they tossed it in, $6, woo. I had to carry the disc a few blocks to Gamestop with no case though. I got a spare DVD case from GS for free.
Sometimes if I'm in there and see a chord that goes with a system loose, and I'm not buying it, I stick it together for who ever does.
Once or twice they bundled something that does not, I got a Xbox with a PS2 controller, and a Tomb Raider 3 manual with a sealed Tomb Raider Last Revelation. The clerk normally does not care, sometimes they ask the manager, most of the time, if it looks similar, they will do it. A blender does not go with a pair of pants.

In other news. Been looking at this.

$180, been there for months. Maybe.

The Good:
I offered a copy of Resident Evil on PS1 on Craigslist (Missing Manual), some guy gave me a working Dreamcast in exchange for it. :D

The Bad:

Dreamcast Bundle for $275 Seriously, why the hell do people charge eBay prices on a site that's ment for meet and pickup?
That just annoys the crap out of me.

The DERP:

Yeah, If I want eBay prices, I'll go to eBay.

Sims 3 Lot.
$380, takes no offer lower than $345, so it's $345. Thats about $15 per game, You can find it cheaper online.

Damn, I didn't realize how many expansions The Sims 3 had. EA just milking that franchise.

Craigslist still sucks in my area.

And I am super lazy. I have to call some asshole stranger, drive to a location, awkward exchange, make sure the disc/carts are decent since people are pigs, etc. etc. etc.

I am just going to give up and not bother checking it anymore.  =(

And also to the Sims 3 expansion pic, I am definitely going to keep the conviction and boycott anything EA related, except maybe Bioware stuff, when it drops in price :P

An experience that seems a bit shady...

Started yesterday afternoon...I saw an ad for a ps1 mini with a bag, controllers and a couple sports games.  Price was all right but distance was a bit of a drive.  I sent an email telling him I'd take it and if he'd be available today.

He replies back asking for my number (yet never gave me his).  I guess to see if I was legit?  Well I sent him my number and he then replied back saying that the system is still available (meanwhile this was like an hr after he posted the ad) and his price was firm and gives me an intersection address stating that he's a few blocks away from there.  Then he asks for a "FIRM" time that I can be there and that he'd confirm that he's available...and again to make sure Im 100% positive I can be there.

I tell him I can be there at a specific time and that I'm positive I can make it.  Well...since that last email he sent I haven't heard back from him...I believe he might have tried calling me but seeing as how I don't pick up numbers I don't recognize I just let it go to voice mail (left no message though...probably cause I have the default message still set).  Since then I haven't heard from him.  I emailed him this morning that I needed the info by 10 so I can be there on time as per his request...but still nothing.

I'm thinking that he just expects me to drive to a random location and that at the time I told him i'd be there to pick up is when he'd send me his info.  I mean it's not like this is some drug deal or anything but he's acting as if someone's out to get him.

Anyway, at this point even if I hear back from him I'm just gonna let it go since I just don't feel comfortable anymore meeting up with him if he's being this secretive...just sucks that he has my number now and possibly email address :/
