I have to wade through a lot of shit on CL before I find a deal that's worth the effort of meeting someone. The people with ebay prices are annoying. If I'm going to pay ebay prices, I prefer to not have to deal with other humans face to face. If I have to go meet some stranger and do all the leg work of arranging our meeting then I at least need a little deal!

Overall, I've done ok, but I usually find good deals instead of great ones. I think garage sales are the place to really hit gold for super deals. I went to my first one this past weekend and was happy with what I spend and what I got.

I guess I've been lucky.
All my CL finds were big lots of games for cheep:
Atari 2600 + 31 Games
Gamecube With 20 Games
NES with 60 Games
Almost a big lot with 7 systems (Missed out due to reasons)

You didn't mention any prices for those. I'm just curious.

I got these xbox games yesterday for $47. I consider this a good deal, but not really a great one. Did I do ok?

Atari 2600 + 31 Games - $40
Gamecube With 20 15 Games - $40
NES with 60 Games -$190
Almost a big lot with 7 systems (Missed out due to reasons) $375
Beatles Rockband gear - $45

And @Fritz
After doing the math, Slightly under $3 a game, I'd say its a good deal.

Thanks for the feedback. I thought it was worth it, but I had to do a lot of searching before finding that deal. Luckily it wasn't too far to drive.

Sorry to hog the whole thread, but I picked these up after work this afternoon for $25. I rode my bicycle for the 40 mile round trip to save gas and give myself a better deal. I have a light weight road bike which helps make the distance much easier.

A good deal, considering Contra can go for over $20, Doom for $10, And MK3 for $10.

Ok Arseen thanks for the reply, assume it all works and it can be cleaned, is it a good deal?

If I visit and it's not satisfactory, how much can I offer at a lower amount?

I would star negotiations at 100 bucks, you should find good compromise between the 2 prices.

It looks really clean and in pretty good shape. He doesn't want to ship that big box. You can probably work something out.

I need a laptop for work. Made the mistake of searching CL. Nobody lists what model their laptops are, just some of the specs. Found one that sounded decent so I texted the guy to ask if he knew the model. His reply was literally "No, and I'm not gonna check". I replied "lazy", he replies "wut?"

I was pretty much done with him at that point, but I still went on to harass him for about 5-6 more texts :P  I think I pissed him off pretty good. How does someone expect to sell something like that without giving the consumer the ability to see if the price is worth it?
