I usually check the videogame section of craigslist to find deals, but I hadn't tried the free section recently. Wouldn't be a bad idea to have a phone app to let you know when an ad with a title like this goes up in the free section:
Jul 30 Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64 + Games
That one was just up earlier today in the free section of craigslist in my area.
I tried clicking and of course the ad is already gone, but I paused to consider the fact that there's still a lot of gold to be mined out there. There are huge 8 and 16 bit game collections out there just waiting to be discarded from someone that thinks they're outdated and worthless. I'll have to look into the phone app thing. I still use a "dumb" phone, but an app that lets me know when nintendo and turbografx goes up in the free section could pay for itself after nailing a couple game scores.
Today's ad and a couple of some recent craigslist scores got me wondering if we might now be on the downward slope of a golden age of game hunting, slowly fading away as the game supply steadily dwindles in the years to come.
