We are already kind of going down the drain with shitloads of new and partially useless people
around. Quite some of the oldtimers which made our project great have gone due to this.

Not sure how to take that.  :-\

It's an insult. However, don't look too much into it as I've never heard the guys say a friendly word. The cover project is made up of fine people like yourself.

If it don't apply then let it fly. Don't attack the man for speaking his mind. (I'm not saying anybody is attacking, I'm just sayin')

I'll admit that since joining the site a few weeks ago, I've been one of the leeches. I've thought about trying to learn how to make covers and contribute, but I'd probably fuck it up because I'm not very good with computers.

I'm willing to donate a few bucks to the website to show thanks. I could do that in the next month or so. Where and how do I do that?

If you don't want to learn to make covers then use any cash you want to donate to buy boxes of games we dont have scans for. Much better way to contribute to the site.

I was looking for a way to give back that didn't involve any work, but I'll keep the suggestion in mind...

Leech away, naturally you signed up to download covers. But if you have friends who have boxes or stuff to scan in then tell em about us ;) thats a useful contribution.

No one is leeching, except sites like retrogamecases (as their very existence is based on the work and scans provided by this site and... they have the ability to contribute but don't). Those individuals that spend time making covers do it as a labor of love. No one forces us to make covers. I'm personally happy to always help.

Don't take the context too literal. Leech was used in a non-negative way. Also by this time I would of thought we'd be over the "cases for sale" folks. Lets not beat that dead horse again. If you are here to contribute then, awesome, it is appreciated. (Let it fly...)

it's fun to see how others do layout and design but once i get my hands on onion cases i'd rather design at least most of my covers on my own. i just drifted away because i'm crazy and spent too much time on the few i was working on neglecting the rest of my life and that'll totally happen again the next time i open up photoshop. it's like two years ago when i decided to play pokemon red for funsies since i'd never played pokemon, ended up owning all the games and i think i was missing maybe 90 of the 600+ available at the time. even caught 999 bidoofs for wii pokemon ranch to get a legit mew. currently staying away from those games to pursue other projects.

Did someone say ADHD?  I think that might be a prerequisite for...

Wait, what are we talking about?  Shit, I gotta print this invoice.  Where's that red Sharpie at anyway?  Crap.
