First things first; I've got to say thanks to madrocsz, for sending me Sonic 2, last August.

I started hooking up/testing what remains of my retro gaming system collection, starting with the Genesis and Sega CD.
So far, I can confirm what ya'll already know... Sonic 2 DOES work with the Sonic & Knuckles Lock-on cart!   ;D

I need to do some cart-port cleaning on the Genesis, and I have a drive belt on order for the Sega CD.
I should get the new belt sometime next week.
If it works, I'll let ya'll know where I got it from, and it's specs.  ;)

The New Belt worked!
Here's the belt I got:
Part#: SBM3.0
http://www.turntableneedles.com/Square-Belt-Medium-30-Inch_p_273.html
It was only $5.95 (including Shipping).

Here's a YouTube Vid that shows how to replace the belt:

The guy that made that vid, adimifus, also provides a link to a different web store.
That place charges about 9 bucks (with shipping) for only one belt.
However, the store that adimifus recommends, will wind up being cheaper than my recommendation, if you order a bunch.

I'm still trying to hunt down the Metal Plates, Screws, and Clips for Sega CD systems.
I'm not having much luck finding Model 1 metal stuff, that not rusted...  ::)

Edited to Add:
Been letting Sonic CD run for a while, with no issues.

Sonic boom, sonic boom, Sonic boom...

Excellent!

Nothing feels better than bringing a busted console back to life IMO :D
