That's decent paper.  I don't think you'll have any problems with it.

It's not "the best" paper out there, but some of that is relative to what you're using it for and personal preference. I tend to like Epson papers a lot. I'll lost a link to what I use when I'm at my computer again.

Understandable, because P is so close to L

And yeah I would like to know what's good legal.

But the Fedex Kinkos near me stopped allowing people to use their own paper, because they said it's been nothing but problems for them and such like printer jams and such. They are just protecting their butts.  >:(

Derp, my bad.

http://www.adorama.com/IESS041605.html

This paper is pretty top of the line as far as matte Espon goes.

Now before you go "it's twice as much", realize that it's 13x19 size, which means that you get 2 UGCs per sheet when trimmed down plus each sheet will yield 3 DS covers, making it CHEAPER if you're going to do those cases.

The stuff on Amazon ends up being ~25 shipped (unless you've got prime or something) and the stuff on adorama is 60 shipped (30 shipped if you consider that it's actually 200 sheets for your purposes).

And yes, this is what I use.

I started with photo paper and it was becoming really pricey for me and then I found this

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000J09LH4/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It prints the covers beautifully IMO and I got a lot more yield from my ink printing on this paper.

I'm hoping that Epson paper works well with inkjet printers. Ordered myself a pack to test for DS/DVD covers.
My DS Cover Requests: Anno 1701, A Witch's Tale, A Witch's Wish, Black Sigil, Dynasty Warriors, Flower Sun and Rain, Mage Knight Destiny's Soldier, n+, Time Ace

Xacto and straight edge or guillotine cutter. I don't use scissors for cutting straight edges ever.

The stuff I recommended?  It's inkjet paper, so yes.

I have used this paper in the past, it is a decent paper as Wiggy stated. It can take awhile to dry and absorb the inks but the outcome of the images are good. I wish it was a little thicker and was printable on both sides but it definitely gets the job done if you are limited by the paper size your printer can output.

I don't see this mentioned often, but if you have a printer that is capable of doing good borderless printing on full sheet (in this case, letter sized 8.5x11) photo paper, then I'd do that.

It's what I've been doing lately. I printed a few before on legal paper, and I always found that after cutting the UGC prints, they were always slightly larger than they need to be. Letter sized paper worked out better for me, and there's a ton of different paper options at that size.

Paper really makes a huge difference.  The printer is a component, sure, but it's far from the sole  determining factor in terms of print quality.

Nope! The sole determining factor....Behold! is THE man, the man with the plan, behind the process. It is you, the gamer who forges the destiny to the glory of custom cover creation! His hands, your hands, my hands, we create, we destroy, we customize, we mod,  WE R COVERPROJECT.NET

  • Coffee... What would I do without you?
I have recently switch from modded A3 to A4 glossy paper for UGC. I found legal sized/modded A3 were too big and gave me crease's or wrinkling on the back of the cover. Arseen told me to try A4, gave it a go, was very happy with the results. I went with glossy paper because that's all I had lying around and I wanted to keep the paper I used consistent, so bought some more to re-print the rest of my games.

For GB, GBC, GBA, and DS, I'll keep using legal sized/modded A3 paper.

EDIT: I still need to buy some paper for those as well to re-print... It's all expense man, its all expense!
