the best legal sized photo paper for UGC covers?
<< < (6/6)
Kriegspire:
I use 160g/m2 A4 paper to print covers on. Quite thick paper, since I don't want any glossy stuff.
Paid like 2,70€ for 250 sheets, so it's not too bad.

I wish I'd used better paper, but it's too late to start over now!   :-\

My collection is all on cheap paper now, but when I first started my girlfriend printed out a few on good paper with a laser printer for me. For a time the collection was mixed. Damn, hers looked good, but it drove me crazy that they didn't have a uniform look. I'm not spending that much time and money just to have dark, shiny covers, but I've thought about it lol

Here's an older pic of the snes games when there were less of them and the covers were mixed
Kriegspire:
Yeeowtch, the difference is pretty noticeable.

I'm a little OCDish so I'd probably want them to look the same.

Feel you about the mixed colors. I've got a bunch that need reprinted from when I was using a different printer and was trying to use those cheepo refilled ink cartridges. (some blacks are more purple, etc.)

I use Epson matte presentation paper and a continuous ink system now.  Was using a heavy stock A4 photo paper.
The difference on the shelf isn't noticeable
FritzWhite:
Yeah, they all look alike now, but they're faded. At least they're not mismatched though..
