http://www.amazon.com/Epson-Presentation-8-5x14-Inches-S041067/dp/B00004Z62I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1366264412&sr=8-1&keywords=photo+paper+legal+size

Epson Presentation Paper MATTE (8.5x14 Inches, 100 Sheets)

and was thinking about getting it but wanted to get your guys opinion on what your using first.

right now i just use legal sized copy paper i got for like 5 dollars. seems to do the job but i wonder if i'm wasting my ink by not printing on thicker paper.

That's decent paper.  I don't think you'll have any problems with it.

It's not "the best" paper out there, but some of that is relative to what you're using it for and personal preference. I tend to like Epson papers a lot. I'll lost a link to what I use when I'm at my computer again.

Understandable, because P is so close to L

And yeah I would like to know what's good legal.

But the Fedex Kinkos near me stopped allowing people to use their own paper, because they said it's been nothing but problems for them and such like printer jams and such. They are just protecting their butts.  >:(

Derp, my bad.

This paper is pretty top of the line as far as matte Espon goes.

Now before you go "it's twice as much", realize that it's 13x19 size, which means that you get 2 UGCs per sheet when trimmed down plus each sheet will yield 3 DS covers, making it CHEAPER if you're going to do those cases.

The stuff on Amazon ends up being ~25 shipped (unless you've got prime or something) and the stuff on adorama is 60 shipped (30 shipped if you consider that it's actually 200 sheets for your purposes).

And yes, this is what I use.

I started with photo paper and it was becoming really pricey for me and then I found this

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000J09LH4/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It prints the covers beautifully IMO and I got a lot more yield from my ink printing on this paper.
