Did you see this? Did you hear about this?

A "sequel" to SNES classic "The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past" is on its way to the 3DS.

It may just be the nostalgia talking, but... It. Looks. Awesome.

Its New Super Zelda Brothers! Pandering to the nostalgic 20 somethings who think Nintendo haven't released anything good sense 1995!

I kid, I kid.
Also he can turn into a drawing out of nowhere because reasons. I was confused when I saw that, but looks good. I like LTTP.

Try 30-somethings ;)

Japan got Mother 2 a while back i wonder back then if we were going to get it. i am happy that we are going to get it. but its funny the reason why we did not get mother 1+2 and mother 3 because it was at the end of the GBA line and the start of the DS systems. and now we are at the end of the Wii line and the start of the Wii U. Very funny move Nintendo
Your Voice Brings me so much peace If I had to do all of it again ..I would do it again no matter how many times for an eternity for you

Nintendo US never put much value on the franchise.  I don't think it would have mattered if mother 3 had come out two years earlier.

That Zelda might be cool, especially if they don't use tap screen to hit controlls.

Just let us use the d-pad or analog stick.

Maybe use the Circle pad pro controller. Left stick to move, right stick to use sword
Or maybe not

Because Nintendo doesn't want our money.

I mean it's simple do the following: Metroid Wii u, StarFox Wii U, F-Zero Wii U, Earthbound 2/Mother 4, more 3dsxl color/themes.
Buy MegaMan franchise from Capcom, reissue Xenoblade Chronicles, Super Mario Time Traveling Game (3d platformer like Galaxy, Sunshine, 64)
Donkey Kong Wii U, Mario Kart Wii U that let's a player win based on skill rather than luck (like Super Mario Kart), sequel to Metroid Fusion, get the team that made Banjo Kazooie and Conker, and give them jobs, and finish up all the Zelda games planned.

I wonder if they are going to edit out the Beatles samples and other stolen music out of Earthbound.

Sampled, no stolen. That's an important distinction, especially when taking about sampling done before there were an laws covering it.

I call some samples, such as:
Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)
Dungeon Man
They took the drum track and remixed it.

But I call this stealing:
When I'm 64
Buy Something Will Ya (Store Theme)
It's almost a exact copy, not much changed, kinda like the royalty free sound alikes of famous songs used on "extreme" decorating shows on TLC.

Games have done this time and time again

In fact, the opening to when I'm Sixty-Four was also sampled for the opening of the Leisure Suit Larry theme. A song in Superman NES is a complete hymn, Stand up, Stand up for Jesus. The Bridge Zone music in Sonic the Hedgehog 8-bit (master system and Game gear) rips off the Full House theme. How about the Zelda title theme, it sounds way too similar to sections of "April" by deep purple, as well as the dungeon music. Zelda II's opening music sounds strikingly similar to Father and Son by Queen.

Final Fantasy VIIs costa del sol music sounds like Oy Como Va by Santana. Donkey Kongs backgrond track seems to be a rip-off of the opening riff from The Ballad of John and Yoko.

It doesn't even end there. The challenge glider music in Super Mario Galaxy sounds way too similar to the Johnny Quest theme. Final Fantasy XIV's song "Good King Moogle Mog" rips off the chorus to "This is Halloween"

Games even rip each other off. Terranigma's hometown theme sounds like the Eight Melodies from Earthbound.

Nintendo may be right to fear litigation against Earthbounds soundtrack, but I think the lack of attention the series saw in the west came from Sales figures, rather than litigation.

In sure they either changed the music or paid licensing fees to bring it to VC.

Just realized you don't have to buy the $200 dollar cart, but you have to buy a $300+ Wii U to play this game lol
