GB/GBC Foam inserts for UGC and SeymoreOnline cases

I received the cases today and did some test prints. The artwork for these cases is 12.25 x 5.125. Resizing the existing GameBoy artwork fits almost perfect. As you can see from the pictures, the spin is just a tad too big when stretching. But it doesn't bother but some of you perfectionists out there might scream bloody murder.

The case comes with 3 disc sleeves. I removed two of them and left the one in. You can put the game cart in front and the manual in back.

I am wondering if foam inserts are even needed. What are you thoughts? Would you prefer a foam insert to hold the cart or is the design as is ok?

I am going to make a foam prototype to see how it looks but i wont be able to do that until the weekend.

Sound off! Suggestions? Comments?

That looks pretty good to me. I have already put a bunch of my GB/GBC/GBA/ngpc in DS cases. Looks like a good solution for someone just starting.

Thanks.

any thoughts on whether i should just use the included CD sleeves or put in a foam insert?

zygmuray:

If you did not keep the cd sleeve in and went the foam insert route, would you not have to make a sort of holder for the manuals?

Seems easier to just have the sleeves, Which also keeps costs down.

Even with a foam insert i would probably keep the Cd insert in the case. Maybe glue it to the left side of the case.

But the foam inserts themselves are probably more expensive then the actual case.
