...Independence Day for Sega Saturn starting bid at $155.00 on eBay. Other great listings from the seller include Gungriffon starting at $205.00. Needless to say, there were no bids. Sellers like this who think they can get rich from a box of old video games they found in their attic are ruining it for the rest of us. This pandemic must be stopped. I know the best thing we can do is not support them, but there must be some way to get the notion that these games are worth hundreds of dollars out of their heads.

Nothing on eBay annoys me more than this (except for maybe resellers that use this site). Sometimes I just type in a system such as NES and sort it from highest price first just to see what people think they're things are worth. It just gets me how they will constantly re-list items that will never ever sell for their ludicrous prices. It baffles me.

What really annoys me is when someone lists something as "rare" because its old. I cant count how many Commodore 64s you can find on Ebay that say they are rare. Its the best selling computer of all time, it cant be that rare.

Nobody is gonna buy that crap, so I wouldn't worry about its affect on the market. There's shit like that all over ebay, craigslist, amazon. you name it.    Sucks that people are so dense, but at least their idiocy won't get 'em anywhere ;)

i also do this!

then i laugh!

if someone saw 'contra, cart only' for £20 and right below it was 'contra, cart only' for £5, which one are they more likely to go for?
Most buyers arent stupid, and would pick the cheaper one!
that, IMHO, is the only way to stop this, if the stupidly high priced ones remain unsold, whilst reasonably priced ones sell quickly, SURELY people are going to think 'maybe this isnt worth such a high price?'

On the RARE topic, I love when posts are "OMG SUPER ULTRA RARE SUPER MARIO BROS DUCK HUNT RARE NES 8BIT GAME" and sell it for $1.

On price gouging, I am in high school, I brought my GBA SP with a copy of SMB Deluxe in and was plaing it in one of my classes, someone commented, "Wow, a Game Boy, that thing is so old it must be worth hundreds of dollars." He was a bit dumbfounded when I said it was worth $40 at the most. Some people just think because it is old it is pricy. Some people think stuff that is worth a bit is worthless, there was this kid i kinda hated in one of my classes, He had a SNES with some games, He sold me Super Mario Kart, Mario Paint and Super Mario World, all but SMW in very good condition, for $10. After the sale he kinda acted like he ripped me off.  ::)

ugh, VGA can suck my azz. The only reason that tard feels its worth that much is that it got a 100, sure I should walk into walmart and buy me a new copy and grade it, make a 19950$ profit lol

One thing thats annoying is when some one is selling a CD and they set it on carpet or some other surface... >:(  just keep it in the damn case!!
Or when they have some generic description they use for all things describing the cd case may have a crack in it when its a damn loose cartridge  >:( Just spend some time and describe the product!

Idiots!
 :)

This. Also, when they put a CD game in the case with the underside facing up. I think from now on I'm going to buy all my games "in the wild," unless it's something that I really want or a brand new game.
