These are technically late March pickups, but I'll post them here because I just got around to taking pics. I haven't cleaned or tested any of them yet either.

First, since RetroZone is getting out of the repro business, I figured I should stop putting off getting their NWC repro (and grab Battle Kid while I was at it)

Next, hitting up my local game shop:

That picture came out way blurrier than I realized. It's:
NES - Gumshoe $4.99
GBA - Dragonball Z Supersonic Warriors $4.99
N64 - Wipeout 64 $3.99 (technically free due to their policy of 3 games $4.99 or less for $10)
SNES - Phantom 2040 $0.99

I love the local game store here, but they have a small selection (being in a small town) and don't deal in SEGA stuff at all. There's a chain of stores (Vintage Stock) that have several locations in OKC, but since that's at least an hour's drive away I don't go to them very often; usually only on the rare occasion that one of their "buy 2 get 1" sales (usually around holidays) coincides with one of my days off. As it just so happened, they were having one for Easter weekend and I had that Saturday off. I also happened to have about a dozen Genesis sports games thanks to the box Hughes sent me that I intended to trade in. I planned out a trip to visit four of them plus the asian market in OKC.

At the first store, after trading in the Genesis sports games and getting a whole $3.85 in store credit  I picked up:

GBA - Bubble Bobble Old & New $9.99
GBA - Drill Dozer $4.99
GB - Gargoyle's Quest $3.99 FREE

That's it. Not the greatest haul, but I had more stores to hit up. At the next location I got:

PSP - Lunar Silver Star Harmony $16.99
Wii - Wario Land Shake it! $14.99 (first time I've seen this one not horribly sun faded)
NDS - Picross DS $9.99 FREE (I'm a bit of a picross nut, and this one's been hard to find ever since Picross 3D came out)
GB - Ducktales 2 $9.99 (Didn't even know this port existed. Much more affordable than the NES version)
SMS - Space Harrier $7.99
GEN - Animaniacs $3.99 FREE
Nyko brand PS2->GCN controller adapter $2.99

At this point it was getting late, and I thought the asian market closed at 8 (they actually closed at 8:30), so I skipped one store and went to spend about $70 on asian food.

Then I went to the last store and got:

NES - Bubble Bobble $19.99
GEN - Herzog Zwei $19.99
PSP - Dissidia 012[duodecim] Final Fantasy $14.99 FREE
GBA - Game & Watch Gallery 4 $4.99
NES - Barker Bill's Trick Shooting $4.99
32X - Virtua Racing $3.99 FREE
SMS - Rastan $2.99
SMS - Kenseiden $2.99
NES - Pinball $2.99 FREE (thought this one had a pin converter in it, since it had the telltale asymmetrical pins, but alas: nope)

... Finally, something I got in March that isn't exactly gaming related, but is certainly retro and I imagine relative to many people here's interests:

MUTAGEN!

NES cart for scale.

Wiggy, thanks but I don't need them (Unless you want to sell me a battery cover :P) as the receiver only works with 2 controllers.

BadChad, yeah, had to sneak that in there :P

Those are awesome looking wireless controllers, was more available to order and what kind are they?

They are the original Sega 1st party ones.  Kind of uncommon.  Just keep an eye on eBay and Amazon for a good deal on one with a receiver.  You should be able to get a set (Receiver and 2 controllers) for around $50 if you want a good deal.  CGR did a review of them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubgAKns75kc

Figured it couldn't hurt to have extras, especially if they're cheap ;)

Sent you a PM ;)

The Cheesy garlic bread is just as it sounds.  The Chicken waffle ones are sweet and are strange at first but damn if they are not also good.  Also the chips were exclusive to WALMART, but Target is now selling them.  I have not seen them anywhere but those locations.

Nyko brand PS2->GCN controller adapter $2.99

After some testing, this thing doesn't work:
A) With the Gameboy Player
B) With Wii games or the Wii menu

It does work:
A) With Gamecube games (at least Melee, some later games might block it) on both Gamecube and Wii
B) With Wii Homebrew

So, basically, 99% of why I bought it is no good. Oh well, it was only $3.

Picked up a few thinks, where i live is 50% charity shops which is good. That said it's been pretty slim lately.

Few PS2 bits, £5 for the six of them, zone of the enders being a nice find.

A new GBA, with a case and Donkey Kong and Pacman. Couple of empty DS case that I got free, pretty shabby but they will pretty up and a old PS2 remote.

GBA looks like it could use a batch of retrobright.  Those indigo units get so ugly when they fade :(

Also, backlight ;)

So, my buddy found this on the subway in NYC.  He sent it to me in this cryptic black envelope with no return address which almost got tossed in the trash cause it sorta creeped me out.  Anyway, glad I opened it.

Anyone else remember these?  I recall thinking to myself that there's NO WAY IN HELL that I'd ever purchase so many new Capcom games in a year to get that "big" $10 rebate.  I almost wanna send it in with some UPCs :P

Also, my big $10 purchase yesterday.

I swung by a local game shop on the way home today. Each game I picked up was $3, and then I saw that GBA sitting there...

It's dirty as fuck, like it was actually tossed into a mud puddle. But the screen was in fairly good condition and it tested out just fine. For only $20 I'll be glad to clean it up myself!

My DS Cover Requests: Anno 1701, A Witch's Tale, A Witch's Wish, Black Sigil, Dynasty Warriors, Flower Sun and Rain, Mage Knight Destiny's Soldier, n+, Time Ace
