Can't get marker off of a super nintendo cartridge

there is marking on my super nintendo cartridge i just bought..
its mario RPG so i really would like to get the marker off..
i tried 70% alcohol and i tried a magic eraser to try to remove it but neither will even make it fade even a little.
The marker is on the plastic.
Suggestions please?

not sure if it's a difference but I use 91% alcohol and it almost removes everything

If it's only on the cartridge and not the label I'd go with Goo Gone. Just make sure you apply whatever you choose to the rag, and not directly to the cart. ;)
Oh, and going over permanent marker with dry-erase marker tends to lift it too.

If all else fails -> replace the shell
If it's on the back -> replace the back
If it's on the front -> replace the whole shell, we should have replacement label somewhere.

70% is far too dilute. 91% should do it, and if not, 99% WILL.
