So I have decided to get a copy of snatcher.  If you don't know it is a bit pricey. I was hoping to get some advice or tips so I don't spend money on a fake.  I was going to go the ebay route but hate the thought of not having it in my hands before I make the commitment. Any help would be great.

I would imagine its pretty dern hard to make a fake copy of snatcher, at least a fully passable one assuming your going for complete. If its something your still not comfortable with your next  best option would be to buy one from a convention or something similar to the sort, or from another collector.

I bought mine off ebay and its absolutely pristine, just do your research and take your time. Set a maximum price and dont budge from that

sega cd

Yeah.. Gonna cost you a couple of hundred.

I'm happy I got my copy about 18 years ago when it was still dirt cheap.

Try calling game dude. I'll cost you $225 if they have a copy in stock, but I'll be a legit copy for sure. Game dude is this huge used video game store in sother California. Www.gamedude.com

You can always learn Japanese, I have seen the PS1 and Saturn versions go for less than $50 complete.

Nothing but GameStops left around here. :(

All the independent stores have closed.

I have been searching for this for the past year.  There are about 10 retro game stores within 20 min from my house.  Sega cd and Saturn games just don't pop up that often.

Man, I sold my spare too soon, 12 years ago on eBay and it sold for around $80, which I thought was a great deal since I only paid $15 for it.  I even found my old auction HTML (I'd always build my own HTML back then and copy/paste it into eBay):

http://www.ratigators.com/ebay/snatcher.htm

I went a bit overboard with that listing, scanning the case/disc/sections of the manual and even took screenshots with my ATI Rage 128 All in Wonder I had at the time with my Sega CD routed through it.
