Hello everyone! I stopped by my local retro video game store and purchased an n64 game in this case. It had cover art printed for it already--not buy the game store. The case was very interesting. IT CAN HOLD NES CARTS WITH NO CUTTING/HACKING. The only manufacturer marking on the case is "Amaray" --no item # or anything. I have scoured the internet looking for wholesale lots of these and cannot even find so much as a single picture of this specific case. I found the Amaray website, but only found CD/PS3/BLUERAY disc cases. I do realize that it is possble that these are simply not made anymore...however, I could not find anything officially saying so. I read a few posts on this website talking about certain black cases being discontinued, but I was not sure if this is the one...Thanks for any info you can provide. Where can we buy these??? I'm hoping this can possibly lead to helpng the TCP community out...Here are some pictures...Thanks!!!

They might be from a time long since past. Back in the times of a service called rentals, they once made these magical game cases....

You are correct sir, I worked at Blockbuster back in the day and those are the cases for DVD/games we used before we changed to slimmer DVD cases.

I remember working at blockbuster back in the heyday of the N64 and PSX, and my manager wanted to start renting gameshark and game genie, even though they were unlicensed.  So he ordered a bunch.  But they wouldn't fit in the UGC's that we used which were blue, but similar to the black ones above so he basically decided not to.  So we had about 5 or 6 gamesharks sitting around the office for each system.  After a while he just threw them out - to which I immediately grabbed them and ended up selling for like $10 a pop, which in 1999 was pretty damn good.  Company policy was just "toss it" if we can't rent it, and for whatever reason they didn't want to sell it.  I still remember grabbing Brigandine and Tactics Ogre from the trash because a customer complained they wouldn't work.  When in actuality they worked just fine, the guy was just an idiot.  Good times.

Yes, absolutely, I do indeed concur wholeheartedly!
+10 pts if you know where that quote is from.  ;)

Yesterday, I met with, and picked, the CAD guy to go with for the NES, SNES, SFC and n64 Cases.
He's not your average CAD Designer.
This guy is an Engineer with over 30 years experience.
