I was TRYING to :P But since day one I've been having people that seem to follow me and correct me, so I HAD to start backing up everything I said with more facts because I keep getting corrected by wrong information, and THAT makes it sound like I'm a show off.  Anyways I'll back off on my posting and just hang out in emulation sites once again with just a few posts here and there.

I just got a confirmation email from Amazon letting me know that my Retron 5 will arrive on June 11 and at $99. Yay!

Damn I just checked my amazon order today and still no update, but i only preordered in april. When did you preorder yours? it'll give me a time frame on when mine should be fulfilled, and luckily mine is at the 99 price tag too.

I preordered mine back in September when they were first listed on Amazon, and it is coming next week.

I pre-ordered mine right at the beginning of the years; sometime in January of 2014 I believe.

I would like to say this - there are some people, particularly on Hyperkin's FB page, that have gotten tired of waiting for the Retron 5 and intend to but Retro-Bit's Super Retro Trio + Super Retro Advance Adapter.

Keep in mind that that setup has no save states, no built-in cheats, no audio or video filters, no firmware support, no ability to play any controller mapped any way you want, and does not display in HD. On top of that, from what I've seen in reviews of that system, the NES compatibility and quality is surprisingly poor, and requires some modding to fix. On top of that, the Retro Advance Adapter only plays GBA games, so even combined with the Super Game Boy, you still don't have support for Game Boy Color-Only games or Famicom.

My advice is to wait for a Retron 5. It's worth it. If you're really picky about using "real hardware" over emulation, then your best bet is to try to track down the original systems anyway.

As someone that has had a Retron 5 in his hands for a week now I have to say this is solid advice.

The system is worth the wait. Yes there are some software bugs but they are being fixed as you wait. You are going to have a better more bug free out of box experience than I did. :)

And even with the bugs mine was amazing. :)

Well back on topic then =P

I never received any sort of update from Amazon until mine shipped this afternoon, and I didn't actually pre-order it until April.
So everyone's pre-order SHOULD be shipping soon. Can't wait =D
(I ordered a grey one though, so who knows how that might have effected things. Maybe 75% of people ordered black >_>)

Although with all the setbacks I really wish they would have done some sort of pre-order special edition, or tried to work out a deal for a pack in home brew game (N-Warp Daisakusen or Pier Solar come to mind).

Well I can dream anyway xD
