I opted for the same. Has a more old school feel to it, and I am sick of everything that comes out these days being black.

I pre-ordered it so long ago, I don't remember selecting the color. At this point, I'm just happy to have one. I've wanted one since they were announced. However, I was likely thinking as you do about the color at the time.
