Yep. It can even play some the actual Genesis can't, like F-16 Fighting Falcon. And it'll map the pause button to a non-SMS controller's Start button, so you don't have to reach up and hit the button on the Power Base Converter. ;D

Went through all my SNES and Super Famicom games today. Out of 85 games, I had trouble with 10 of them. Going to go through and clean those 10 tomorrow, which I expect will fix nearly all of them.

JDavis:

Cleaning fixed four of the SNES carts. Here's what's still not working 100%:

Out of this World is the weird one. The system recognizes it, but as soon as you try to play it the system kicks back out to the main menu. Its sequel (Flashback) works fine.

Contra III pulls up as "Unknown Cartridge", and trying to run it just displays a black screen.

Super Metroid pulls up as "Unknown Cartridge", and trying to run it displays the initial Nintendo logo followed by a black screen.

Megaman X 2 pulls up as "Unknown Cartridge", and trying to run it displays the initial Capcom copyright information, then the Capcom logo with the familiar jingle, then... a black screen. The first and third games ran perfectly fine.

Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow pulls up as "Unknown Cartridge", but it plays. It does no play perfectly, though, as the sprites for both Donald Duck and all the enemies are a garbled mess. The backgrounds and everything else are fine, though.

Kid Klown in Crazy Chase pulls up as "Unknown Cartridge", but it seems to play perfectly as far as I can tell.

These could still be issues with the pins (Out of this World in particular has some nasty damage to its pins), so I can't say with certainty that these games won't work across the board. Just my copies don't.

NES is the last category to test, and it'll take me quite a while to go through all of them. I've got a lot.
