Most clone consoles do suck, but the Retron3 was fairly decent IMPO (not perfect, but fairly decent), I have it myself, Genesis in SVIDEO looks great and very minimal sound issues (it's at the correct pitch). SNES is good, a little too loud in the sound but manageable, No complaints on the NES side. wireless controllers suck ass but why bother if you have console pads? For the RetroN5, the HDMI feature alone is my reason to "look into it" and considering it, of course price will also be a deciding factor. i'm a recent homeowner and hopefully I'll get that basement set up as "the entertainment room", considering the amount of consoles I own (and it's a lot of them), any "shortcuts" i can take to save up space and allow a really good presentation on an HDTV is a serious consideration on my end, (it will likely cost less than modifying all of the supported consoles to push on HD) <-_-> |

hyperkin has no release date yet. This is pretty much just an announcement. They said they will announce a release date in June or July. I would expect to see this around January next year, but that's just a guess. |
