First, this:

Second, no. Don't care at all. Clone consoles suck. They all do, and I have little reason to sliver that this peice of cheap-ass crap will be better based on the track record.

Also, what?

Quote from: Engadget
Hyperkin has developed a reputation for modern takes on legendary game consoles that are often better than the real thing.

I've never heard anyone say that. Ever.

Given that their earlier, less ambitious consoles are hit or miss.  Definately.

You got a lot of hate there wiggy.
I like my retro duo v3  for the bedroom. never had a problem with it.
I've just wanted a half way decent blue tooth controller for a while now.

Never saw the earlier topic on it. But they just released a lot of new info on it yesterday and today.

Lol @ the engadget quote

I just don't like cheap crap that doesn't work right, and I've really only ever heard bad things about Hyperkin products, including how god awful ugly they are.  I mean, look at this disgusting turd :(

Ugh.  I can't support that.  I'd NEED to make a custom shell just so I didn't wanna hurl when looking at it.

Don't get me wrong, if it comes out and is awesome, then I'll buy one.  I won't pass up a good piece of hardware, despite it being so effin' ugly.  But I just don't have any reason to think it won't be a turd based on previous efforts.

Your pic is pretty ugly, this Black version isn't so bad though. Yea I've heard some bad things about hyperkin, but I've also heard bad about retro bit and I like my RDP and RD.

As much as I love original hard ware, I just don't have room to have half of what I want hooked up. (barely have room for the retro duo and Saturn thats there). I have a pretty decent genesis collection. never touch it because its a pain in the ass to dig out my genesis. (and the lcd in my nomad is acting up)
Also, was never a fan of GC. Would annoy me to hook it up just for the GB player.

If it does half of what its advertised as doing I'll buy two.

Guess I'll be the guinea pig, and if its good I'll sell you my spare xP

I just hope they don't go with that as the final controller design >_>

I know most everyone on the cover project has their systems proudly displayed. I myself keep my consoles stored away and primarily use 3rd party consoles for retro gaming.  I've never had an issue with the 3rd party consoles thus far. So, I'm really excited about this.

Meh, I do not have much of a use for this, interesting GB support, but I got 2 GBPs and a SGB,.

The thing is fairly ugly though, kinda looks like a weird hat or something. I do not like how lumpy it is, and does everything have to be piano black nowadays?

The RDP? As in the Retro Duo Portable? Ugh, I hate that thing! It smells like a black magic marker, and stinks up the carts you plug in as well. And even if you can ignore that, it's super finicky! Most of the time games won't load without multiple attempts. And after all that, the battery is pretty underwhelming.

I could rant more, and I have (on Amazon), but I digress. These multiplat consoles are nice for people who don't think they can get their hands on the real consoles. But I'm not impressed.

I have the newer version that came out last year, don't have a problem loading SNES games. NES, if you touch that adapter at all, yeea. I bought it for SNES games though.

It's not ugly because it's red. It's ugly because it's a horrible design.  Plus, a photo is going to give a FAR clearer image of what something will actually looks like versus a 3D render (which is all that black pic is).

I get that it solves a problem for lots of us (consolidation).  There's no dispute there.  Like I said, if it ends up being a decent peice of kit, then I'll gladly grab one (and modify the hell out of that shell :P ).

Also, I can help you with that Nomad issue ;)

Why not just cut the tabs out? I was weary of it at first but I did it in literally 5 minutes and it was one of the best/easiest decisions I've ever made :)

If you cut tabs away from US SNES you can play JAP games.
PAL games then fit too but there is additional region lock out that prevents playing most games.
