ja, it is acting strange lately. it does that to me too.
I will follow your advice and start fresh.
i uploaded my 3 Ninjas Kick Back label and it disappeared, so I had to use postimage.

I will clean my account later today and see if I can get it working again.

the Claymates cover is coming along well.
I will use the logo from the other cover for now, then I will make a new one.
I like the shiny metal look of that other cover with the rings but I want a clay look to it as well.
I will keep working on it for you.

I am close to finishing a Barbie snes label too.
plus I will start making some sfc covers and labels, especially with your scans.
I still have to clean all of the labels that Sheep sent to me last year.
busy, busy ...

Perfect.

I'll scan the missing 2 SFC DBZ games I have (hyper dimension I don't yet have) and Rushing Beat trilogy, and I have at least SFC CIB versions of first and second Final Fight as well as Guy.

ja, I've thought about that too.
i'm still in a sort of test mode.
the editing of source code is brutal so I will need more powerful languages to make it easier to edit.
I am thinking of converting it to a dhtml page or even asp or php.
perhaps php because of the cross-platform capabilities.
i also want to use check marks.

if you have any suggestions please list them for me.
I will be happy to hack a method for all of us to use.
we could use it for the site content too.

tell me what you have in mind and we will make it work.

i would like to use html5 but not everyone is using html5/css3 ready machines.
i think that dhtml and a server-side scripting language or xml/json will work wonderas for us.

let me know...

It should have as regions: US/JAP/EUR, but then we run into problem of EUR having multiple languages, at least I know of English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Swedish and Finnish covers, so those would probably have to be included as regions instead of EUR.
And then Danish, Norwegian, Estonian, Russian and Portugues and pletora of others want/need/deserve sections too, then Asians... ;D

Then we would have to have sections for: Cover (+ several ALTernate or CUStom ones), Label (+ several ALTernate or CUStom ones), Manual, Poster, Map.

Multiply those together... and each game section is 20+ high (languages) and 15+ wide (stuff)...  :o

Maybe doable with markers (Red = Not done, Orange = Not done but has bad raws, Yellow = Not done but has good raws, Light Green = Done but needs cleaning, and Green = Done)

mot juste.
My list is new, id est raw and experimental.
I've thought about everything that you had mentioned.
My thoughts were along the lines of a table/division with each region and checks.
arrows could be at each side of the table to traverse a game list.
dhtml can be used to accomplish this task.
instead of all data being on one page, just call it from an xml file and display it dynamically without leaving the page.

in the future, we could implement a search box with live suggestions as with Google search.
Ajax/xml can do that for us. The list could be searched.
Administrators could easily edit the list with simple commands.

I will copy your outline and work on a prototype.
we can test he prototype, make necessary changes, then implement the system.
voila! we will have a database of content.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will program the database so that regions can be easily added or removed.

I'll start working on some code today.

got to go for now. Thanks, Arseen.  :D

actually, I was already thinking about everything that you had mentioned and more. I had an idea to document my art (scans, photos, etc.) as a sort of inventory or audit. The list is a prototype. I wanted tyo see what it could become. Such a list allows me to see what I have versus what I am missing. uggh. I am missing so much stuff. Inventory gives me a realistic viewpoint of my situation.

After looking at the first draft, I started to imagine a more robust list with all regions and searchable data. By the way, there is an actual EUR version of games. Although I cannot prove it via official data from Nintendo (they only care about new systems), I can prove it with scans and images. Even when there is an NOE, FRA, ITA, ESP, UKV and ITA release, there is still a EUR version. I guess it is for other nations within Europe that do not have a localization, as Russia, Poland, etc. I do not have alot of other content. In fact, I only have a few FRA, NOE and SCN scans. My personal list has EUR only because I do not think that I will ever acquire scans of every region. I do not have every scan of USA covers/labels.

As for TCP database, a complete list of regions will be a good idea. I will add all of the regions that you had mentioned. I will make a prototype page, then we can look at it and discuss ideas.

I am currently (for the past six hours) downloading 800x600 photos of Nipponese cartridges and saving all of the data in a text file. So much work. I am trying to fully document the SNES game releases. A global Master List. I want to atleast have photos of every game of every region. scans are a fantasy. Thanks to all of the folks here at TCP, I am able to start building a collection. I have many, many, MANY projects in my life. I have other things to purchase so buying all of the games to scan them is out of reach. I will purchase some of the games that I cannot find so that I can get manual/label and cover scans but I hope that more people share scans with us because I cannot buy every game.

Anyway, I like what you had mentioned and I will start programming it today.
I have to save and document some more Nipponese games. By the way, have you ever heard of Little Master? interesting label. I like the Kung-Fu Cat. lol. I only found a label photo. My point is that Japan has many titles that I am unaware of until now. interesting.

I will check back later. Have a great morning ...  :D

Good to know I'm not the only overly ambissious. ;D

Yeah now there is EUR region (I'm Finnish = SCN should be the norm but still usually it was EUR).
What I meant was that it's more convinient to use languages instead of EUR (or JAP/ASIAN) to separate thedifferent language manuals as not not even all EUR manuals had the same languages.
Even SCN manuals varied. There wasalways FIN & SWE, usually DAN, sometimes even ENG.
