My PS3 just died!!!!

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!  >:( :'( >:(

Can's find anywhere doing new 'old' consoles either, and i hate the slims, and DESPISE the super slims!!!

mine died the other day as well, it won't play blu rays and it chewed up my only copy of Tomba 2 :( I think it might be possessed

I've still got a launch 60 GB PS3 just to play PS2 games upscaled, with a dual shock 3 and unlimited mem. card space.

I only use it to play PS2 and nothing else.  Got a slim for PS3 games and blurays ... it sucks knowing that it's a ticking time bomb waiting to YLOD but I can't bring myself to get rid of it.

the thing that's pissing me off most is, about 4 months ago the file system on the upgraded drive got an unrecoverable error after a power outage - it had to be reformatted and i had to re-download all my stuff from PSN.  The prospect of doing that again, with the terrible interface that is the new PSN store just makes me really angry!!

And i've drawn a blank on any stores selling anything other than the shitty 'super-slim' plastic crap.  Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

I have a PS3 Slim as well and love it.

The Phat one is just for PS2 games.

If the SuperSlim had all the features of the launch PS3's then I'd grab nice shiny Red or Blue one for sure!

Have you ever had a disc get stuck in there.  That happened to me once , I  thought I was going to have to send it in.   I held the thing above my head and went Conan the Barbarian on it.  And the disc came out.  Now I always make sure cds are flat before putting them in.
