Major League Baseball: featuring Ken Griffey Jr.
NFL Blitz 2000
Mario Party
Bio Freaks
Wrestlemania 2000
WCW/NWO Revenge
Pokemon Puzzle League

Wow that's sick. Thanks for those. I think it should be pretty simple to black out the "PAL" markings. I believe I managed to do it (just create a rectangle and opt to "fill" the shape with black).

However, I tried to cut out an image (a box like small image from a U.S. version of a cover) and paste it onto the PAL version (to cover up some PAL ELSPA box on the back). I'm having a little trouble moving it over. I have microsoft paint and gimp. I tried using gimp and this link http://www.wikihow.com/Extract-an-Image-in-GIMP but even after cutting out the image and moving it over, I still saw the weird black/white outline around the border of the image even when I tried to click on something else. How do I get rid of this "border" so the image looks natural on my PAL cover? This question might not make too much sense so I'll try to explain myself better if I have to.

You mean the thing under the screenshots?

The one now swapped out in this version?

I did that in Paint.
I simply copied big chunk from the US cover and pasted it on to the PAL one.
Not just the logo but about 1cm (2/5") of the surrounding background.

Yes, that's what I'm talking about. You can still see the "PAL Version" blue box on the lower right hand corner of the front cover but I can black that out easily. I was trying to do what you just did with the other covers. What do you do exactly? Could you give me a simple step by step because I think I was doing it wrong. Should I use msoft paint or gimp? I know the white/black box from the US version is not big enough to cover the whole box from the PAL version so how did you get the rest of it yellow and perfect?

Thanks for helping me with the Mario Party one!!

Use Paint if you have Windows 7 or 8, older Paints screw up the image when you save.
Otherwise use Gimp.

Download both the PAL version (black) and the US version (red) of the cover.
Use same cover's both versions, so US Pokemon Puzzle League with PAL Pokemon Puzzle League.

Open both in Paint or Gimp.

From the US version copy the box and bit extra, maybe hal inc.
Just don't copy any of the red part.

Now paste that piece over the area on the PAL cover matching the background.

Save and your done.

How do I copy a piece of the image (like the boxes)?

What if an image I have on the US copy of the game not big enough to cover the image on the PAL copy of the game?

(I'm really new to paint- I have windows 7 btw so I'll be using paint)

Edit: I'm using gimp thus far and I think I'm figuring the simple stuff out.

Man I love these, especially the mario kart and super smash bros covers. I want to put in a few requests since I'll be printing covers perhaps in 2 weeks and would like to use as many of these as I can! Maybe you could think about creating some awesome covers for:

Turok: Dinosaur Hunter (would love to line up turok 2 and this game together on the wall using your style of covers)
Conker's Bad Fur Day
Diddy Kong Racing
F-Zero X
Jet Force Gemini
Yoshi's Story

That's a lot of work and while I'd love to see them all (and more!!), it'd be great if you could do the original Turok. I'm sure it'd be sick.

Got 2 from this list and 1 from your other request post done. Slowly but surely! Check out the first post of this thread.

very cool. Thanks autobot. I'm sure there will be others who'll use them too!

Edit: Autobot, I wanted to let you know that I'm planning to print my covers soon (I have a guy who'll do em for me this week and I want to take advantage of the cheap price he quoted) so I likely won't get the chance to use any more new creations. Thanks for supplying such great covers though. I really enjoy the style/art.

  • Coffee... What would I do without you?
Man, I'm loving these covers. My original template was following a black/PAL version of Wiggy's template, going with the retail art. But I'm thinking I might follow your lead. I have just finished my handheld templates and covers, so I'm looking for the next project now. Thanks for the inspiration man.

He did good work. I liked his style and I'm bummed because I didn't get a chance to use any of his like I wanted to. I ended up having to do a lot myself and all that black would have used up too much ink.

I hope others use his style tho as it's pretty neat

Bummer you couldn't use my template. Show off your covers that you did do!  ;)
