Wow that's sick. Thanks for those. I think it should be pretty simple to black out the "PAL" markings. I believe I managed to do it (just create a rectangle and opt to "fill" the shape with black).
However, I tried to cut out an image (a box like small image from a U.S. version of a cover) and paste it onto the PAL version (to cover up some PAL ELSPA box on the back). I'm having a little trouble moving it over. I have microsoft paint and gimp. I tried using gimp and this link http://www.wikihow.com/Extract-an-Image-in-GIMP but even after cutting out the image and moving it over, I still saw the weird black/white outline around the border of the image even when I tried to click on something else. How do I get rid of this "border" so the image looks natural on my PAL cover? This question might not make too much sense so I'll try to explain myself better if I have to.

You mean the thing under the screenshots?
The one now swapped out in this version?
I did that in Paint.
I simply copied big chunk from the US cover and pasted it on to the PAL one.
Not just the logo but about 1cm (2/5") of the surrounding background.

Yes, that's what I'm talking about. You can still see the "PAL Version" blue box on the lower right hand corner of the front cover but I can black that out easily. I was trying to do what you just did with the other covers. What do you do exactly? Could you give me a simple step by step because I think I was doing it wrong. Should I use msoft paint or gimp? I know the white/black box from the US version is not big enough to cover the whole box from the PAL version so how did you get the rest of it yellow and perfect?
Thanks for helping me with the Mario Party one!!

Use Paint if you have Windows 7 or 8, older Paints screw up the image when you save.
Otherwise use Gimp.
Download both the PAL version (black) and the US version (red) of the cover.
Use same cover's both versions, so US Pokemon Puzzle League with PAL Pokemon Puzzle League.
Open both in Paint or Gimp.
From the US version copy the box and bit extra, maybe hal inc.
Just don't copy any of the red part.
Now paste that piece over the area on the PAL cover matching the background.
Save and your done.

How do I copy a piece of the image (like the boxes)?
What if an image I have on the US copy of the game not big enough to cover the image on the PAL copy of the game?
(I'm really new to paint- I have windows 7 btw so I'll be using paint)
Edit: I'm using gimp thus far and I think I'm figuring the simple stuff out.
