Learning how to do covers, feedback appreciated

Megatron:

So I am quite the noob at making covers.  In fact, I'm not past the cut and crop stages of cover making.  That said, I am trying to perfect my positioning of images and labels before tackling the harder tasks of cleaning RAWs and whatnot.
Below is my latest attempt to turn a genesis UGC into a red label genesis case sized label.  Any feedback is appreciated.  And yes, this is just a crop from the existing cover, but like I said, I am only in the initial stages of cover development.
My only real gripe is that i wanted to put "Sunsoft" on the spine, but since the text was red it would blend in.  I tried to convert it to yellow with very little success.

Batman:  Revenge of the Joker

Here's another without the seal under the genesis logo

segamer:

Well, the sunsoft logo would have looked good on the spine. A simple good search produced plenty of blue sunsoft logos that would work.

Megatron:

Thanks for the tip...I found a nice logo that was pretty easy to edit.
Here are some experiments...

Yellow logo is the same yellow as the front, the blue is the same color as the "Batman" logo, and the grey is the same grey as the genesis logo.

ANy suggestions on what looks best?  Or should I ditch it and go with a more pronounced color?
Also, the original cover has the Sunsoft vertical, however with the Genesis logo ont he spine that would become too crowded I think
Also, the logos are different sizes and spaced differently to get some different perspectives

Megatron:

One more with the blue from the night sky on the back
