Flash cart might be your best option. If you can get yourself close with a repro maker, or at least get them to trust you will only be keeping it for yourself, you can get them to make you pretty much anything you want. Ive been really into repros for years so I know a couple people who might build me anything if I asked. Altho I dont think they'd be willing to do it for anyone els unfortunetly because it is something most repro makers wont do for obviouse reasons. And I have to respect that. While I havent actually had any repros done for any retail games yet, I have thought about it. Something like Grind Stormer or a few of the stupid rare and expensive games that I just want to be able to play on real hardware. If blueprint knows a place, you might want to get him to pm you the site. Altho I hope this isnt something they do on a regular basis... |

Ah segamer, I feel your pain, dude. I too am dying to find myself a copy of Little Samson. I just want to play it! I would love it if it were as common as Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt and cost $5, but since it's so difficult to find it's rather disheartening. I'm also in the boat where if carts are ridiculous stupid prices I would love to have a repro option. Aside from the fact that it's technically copyright infringement (a point I'm assuming most of us on the forums wouldn't likely argue, considering what we all come here for :)), is it the fact that repros might devalue the game? I'm not entirely convinced that would be the case because it wouldn't be an original, much like how a photocopy of a famous piece of artwork doesn't do crap. Take the Virtual Console for example -- I've seen few, if any, cartridge prices be affected by the availability of a digital release. If anything, the prices have only gone UP. And while the VGA might not agree, don't these games exist so that people can play and enjoy them? Perhaps I am missing something? |

Repro makers won't ONLY because of (perceived) copyright problems. It doesn't ahve anything to do with devaluing the legitimate market, which it wouldn't anyway, the same way that aftermarket Cobras haven't affected the value of real Cobras. |

I guess we'll have to wait until it becomes public domain. At least our children will be able to enjoy it! |

With many of Disney's most popular characters and franchises creeping up on that age, expect copyright law to change. A lot. Public domain may just become a thing of the past to be honest. |
