Or buy a cheap used wii, hack it, and play your nes games on that.

I use it alot when I have people over and we want to play something quick.

I don't feel too bad doing it since I own about 2/3 of NES library and I'd 95% of the time we are playing a game I already own.

I actually (unwittingly) purchased a counterfeit Lickle off of eBay from a Seller in Portugal.  Yes, embarassed that I got dupped but it was relatively cheap and in the end, it plays great, so no complaints.  Do wish I had the real NES deal, but rather have the cash at this point.

its funny to consider that aside the fact that little samson came out late in the us that the reason it didnt sell well was due to it's name and people attributing it to maybe something from the bible. However if it was named lickle over here it would just be a giant joke as us Americans are quite immature lol

--- Quote from: Polygon on April 25, 2013, 12:01:41 PM ---As much as I would love to own Little Samson, I will never pay what people are asking for it. The idea of being able to buy it as a reproduction is appealing to me for that reason. However, I share the sentiment in this thread that it's not a good idea, and shouldn't be done. Instead I'll wait to see if the bottom ever falls out and prices come down on games like Little Samson.

I think the market will level out some but don't feel  value on certain games will be affected as much simply due to them being a bit more uncommon and people that pick them up for collecting purposes tend to keep them in the collection which in turn means less copies floating around.

Just look at how much these games have went up. For any of those who watch the game chasers, just a few years ago they found both flintstones and little samson (which maybe the spike in prices are due to their popularity) and at the time the values were 1/5 what they are now give or take

I'm sure you're right about that. Which is sad. I might just have to bite the bullet eventually. If so, games like that will be the last I add to my collection.

Lots of good opinions and points on both sides of the issue here. I am ok either way honestly. If someone is willing to make a repro of this game as well as a few others they are more than welcome to contact me if it will be priced reasonably. I have been considering getting the Famicom versions of some of these games as well since they are a bit less expensive. Sort of the same way I get some PC Engine versions of games instead of TG-16.

I have been considering a Powerpak or something like that but I like having the carts for some reason. I will admit I have a Harmony cart for Atari 2600 but I don't get into those games as much as NES and beyond.

Like I said I respect peoples opinions on both sides and its nice to see people being able to express them in a civil manner here on this forum.
