If anyone of you guys is into AES collecting then you really know what pain in the ass the whole repro business can be. I'm now in the process of getting a seemingly legit Blazing Star cart but oh man is THAT a pain in the ass to authenticate.... *ugh*

Actually, that did happen to me. I ordered a Neo Geo MVS game from eBay; SNK Vs Capcom SVC Chaos and it turned out to be fake.

I remember someone from Nintendo Age that asked me for replacement labels for reproduction carts of Little Samson and Surprise at the Dinosaur Peak, but I never asked where he got them.
Reproductions suck on the wrong hands, ethics mean nothing to a lot of people nowadays.

I have been a member of several forums for 6 years or more. I would be glad to see some repros of some of these games that are getting so pricey. For the NES repros I would actually like to see them made in the repro cart shells like the ones sold on retrousb.com . I have a few repros from there and from others who have used those shells and parts and I like them. Also they aren't going to be mistaken for the real thing.

reproductions of original released games that came out in the US market (not talking about crap like NWC) I suppose I am kind of against.
Now games that were never released here and were translated and ported of course is awesome. I can understand wanting to own a copy but usually it's just to play where as there are emulators for that

hrm, torn

I don't think I do. How do you feel about them?

At this point if I were going to drop a big amount of money on Little Samson or Flintstones 2 I would have to see the board inside the cart.  I have owned Little Samson and in a moment of idiocy I sold it. I got way more than I paid but not as much as they are going for now. I have not owned Flintstones 2 but was close to buying one over a year ago for a bit over 300. I guess I should have snatched it up while I had the chance.

You buy it online and only after recieving can check it.
I know on ebay you get your money back, but elsewhere...?

but to answer the question, its easy to make a little samson cart, it need a mmc3 (mapper 4) donor with 1x27c010 and 1x27c020, it takes actually the same thing to make a mother on the nes, tho i was tempted to make repro of the expensive carts for myself, tho it takes the fun out of hunting for games, tho so far i sold alot of zelda parallel worlds, on the back of the cart it's clearly marked  its a repro game of a hack of zelda link to the past, tho not sure if collectors/retro players are stupid or something, some of them actually thought Parallel worlds was an original game..... if you have any questions on repro carts send me a pm, spend the last 5 months doing reaserch, (while juggling the fact im a new dad also) and im still on standbuy on a project arseen asked me, but i need to further my research on tsop chips...... (looks at arseen, im in trouble now arnt i?)

I know some times people can be super buzy, like I still haven't had time to up one single easy scan of Genesis game.

Nope, you said it's gonna take time.
And you're only only one who has said that it might be possible...

[expects finish carts with in a week] 8)
