Repro Cart not working?

[Super GDubs Fighter II Turbo: Championship Edition III]

So, given to me by a friend, I now own the NES game "Ultimate Frogger Championship."

For some reason, the game doesn't show any color, pixels are scrambled, partial sound, and he can't return it because retrozone is being all penisy towards us.

Any help to fix this game?

I would have used penish. 

Try testing it on multiple machines that you know work. Pop it open and clean it if needed. Take pics of the inside. Maybe someone here can spot an oddity?

I had a system I knew that worked, but for some reason this game in particular wouldn't load.....

I popped it all night but it still wouldn't load right.... not my penis the game....

I did notice one of the black chips that look like this....

gets extremely hot when powered on.

Possibly a short?  Might wanna get a soft toothbrush and scrub the legs of the chips a bit to ensure that there aren't any little bridges going on.

Yeah, I think that's actually what's up.  I may just get a repro made and use the fancy see through green cart as a shell.
