GRIND STORMER for SEGA GENESIS, how the heck can you fix these faulty carts?

What causes them to die? I know you can erase eeproms by exposing them to light, but the carts should block all light from the chip.

I should ask a few more people and find out why they die out like this.

Maybe the use of really low quality eproms, resulting in some sort of memory loss over time? Possibly something like them not beeing able to handle the power of turning the console on and off over time maybe wiping them clean at some point? Im no expert, but I could see those beeing possibilities...

Retail carts don't use flashable chips.  UV exposure won't affect them at all.

from what i remember, there was actually a defective batch sent out and sold that were non-working from the get-go.

Really? Then what's the difference between EPROM and a well, a ROM?

I though by definition, EPROM means E.Rasable R.ead O.nly M.emory.
